I pulled into the parking lot and it shares a lot with a weed dispensary. Not a good start. Best part of the stay was that the check-in staff was nice. Got to the room, opened the door and the room smelled stranger than anywhere else I have stayed. Went to lock the door behind me, but after the deadbolt, the additional chain or latch that most hotels/motel have was missing. Put my bag down and sat at the end of the bed and nearly tumbled backwards. I realized that the bed was on a 10 degree pitch, with the head of the bed being lower than the foot of the bed. I was concerned to look under the bed for fear of what I might find. I got up to close the blackout curtains and found that there were tears in the curtains and had to primp it to make sure no one could see in. Then I noticed that there were plaster plugs in a few of the corners of the room, apparently plugging up mouse holes.
The shower was a bit creepy. Something (don't know exactly what) was in the drain that I wouldn't go near. When I drew the shower curtain it contained a clear panel at eye level, presumably so you could see out. But the clear plastic was stained amber to orange across the panel. Around 10:50pm there was a knock on my door. I checked my phone for a message from the motel and there was nothing. Not knowing anyone in the area, I ignored the knock.
A couple of hours later I ran out to the Wawa across the street and when I did I noticed a mattress outside one of the rooms two or three rooms over. On my return, I saw on the 2nd level that there were a couple of mattresses leaning against the railing outside a room up there.
Around 2am there was another pair of knocks on my door. This time I got up, scared and concerned, and asked who it was. The person responded "C'mon man, open the door! You know who dis is!" When I said I had no idea who it was there was no reply and no further door knocking. I couldn't wait to get out in the morning. If you are considering staying here, be wise and stay in your car instead....
Read moreMy girlfriend and I stayed at this motel on February 23, 2018, room 129. At check-in the person at the counter was not very friendly, he checked us in and that was it. We got into the room and you can tell that they are trying to remodel but they’re going about it as cheap as possible. I would expect better conditions given the location of this motel. The motel is located on a main road which leads to the shore surrounded by restaurants, shopping malls, and nicer hotels, Philadelphia is about 20 minutes away Atlantic City about 45 minutes away. There is a new toilet and vanity, they placed a ceramic top on top of an old dresser which looked as if chips of paint or stain was missing. The carpet certainly needed to be replaced for it had a burnt in iron mark on it. The shower stall had caulk and holes on the walls. There was no water pressure when you took a shower and the towels were like sand paper. The pillows were flat and there was no blanket provided, only the thin worn comforter. We did not use the comforter as a blanket because it’s my understanding that hotels/motels do not change comforters and who knows what or who or anything might have been on the comforter. My girlfriend stepped on a grape stem and later we found grapes in the trash, can so housekeeping wasn’t exceptional. I would’ve expected these types of accommodations somewhere along the backwoods of New Jersey such as the Pine Barrens or some shore towns but not in the very busy area that it was located. We had no complaints about the bed except for the lack of good pillows and a blanket. The only good thing about it was that it was cheap and it was close to the plans we had for the evening....
Read moreThe hotel was under total renovation. Bed frames and mattresses littered each hallway and blocked exits. I had both old bedframe and mattress blocking my room door. There was only a booth open instead of lobby. It looked like an armored subway cashier booth. Went to complain but note was in window "Back In 10 minutes". 20 minutes later he returned and said he'd have someone move the stuff "tomorrow" because he was off at 10. No, I told him that it'd have to be moved immediately. He grudgingly came up and moved, I went in the room and it was a mess; dirty, lamps missing, supplies, hangers missing. Meanwhile the wind blew and knocked the frame and mattress back against door. I then crawled over the crap, went to the office, and demanded a new room. After a tortuous reorganizing of luggage and search of rooms, a suitable (barely) room was found. It too had things missing but at least I had a place to sleep. In short, horrible facility, various safety and code violations (the power outlets!, blocking emergency exits, etc). I might have called the police but it was very late on Thursday night. Personnel not courteous when they were present. I'd appreciate a refund for my March 6, 7, 8 stay or a voucher for future use at one of your non-derelict motels. You should be...
