This review is regarding the Sales Department at BMW Mt. Laurel on 3/17/25.
Overall, my experience here was good when purchasing a used 2022 BMW X3 M40i it has been amazing to drive and I am extremely happy with my purchase. However, I canāt say my experience was perfect.
Greg, our sales associate was great he worked with me on my trade-in value and was very transparent throughout the whole process. The pricing of the vehicle was fair and I am extremely happy with the vehicle so far.
We spent about 5 hours at this dealership, mostly due to us waiting for OUR insurance to provide us with ID cards in a timely manner, it took them 2 hours. So not at fault of the dealership, but while waiting we signed our documents and provided our down payment to our financial associate Joe.
This was where my experience turned a little sour, We were making a down payment of $10,000, $5,000 in cash and the rest on credit card.
As Joe proceeded to charge our card we IMMEDIATELY received an authorization text from Chase Fraud Alert about a $10,000 charge from Mt Laurel BMW, that was obviously not what we discussed, he kept telling us to respond āNoā to it saying we didnāt authorize this charge.
When we did, Chase immediately closed our card and started the process of mailing a new one. We then spent another 30 minutes talking to a Chase call representative going through identity verification just to find out they were unable to undo this automated fraud action.
While I understand mistakes happen, Joe never ONCE apologized or took responsibility for this matter. Even when I immediately brought up how the card was charged $10,000 instead of $5,000, he basically shrugged it off leading us to have to use a different credit card.
Now having to deal with the headache of replacing a credit card, and updating it across all payment methods, I canāt say Iām very happy with this experience. I was willing to overlook my dissatisfaction with him at the time because we just wanted to go have dinner.
It was definitely a happy and exciting moment to be purchasing a BMW. While the credit card closing was a minor inconvenience, the lack of responsibility/accountability with Joe still left a bad taste in my mouth especially when dealing with a $40,000 purchase.
In addition to this, make sure they provide you with a front license plate bracket as well. We are from NY so it is legally required for front and back. We were never asked if we wanted it installed and didnāt notice until arriving home that they never even supplied us with one. Not to mention itās required in NJ as well, where they are located. We are awaiting new brackets after calling our sales associate and alerting him of the situation. Greg was very understanding and said he will ship us one, but made an excuse stating they didnāt know where the car was going even though they handled the registration and shipped out new plates to our address. Once again, lacking in apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience. Iāve bought a car at Nissan before that made sure to ask before installing a front plate bracket for us. Now we have to drill in the front plate brackets ourselves.
I canāt help but say Iām a little disappointed with the service for a luxury dealership. I understand that mistakes happen but the lack of accountability regarding our matters would not have been warranted if they simply just apologized for the inconveniences they caused. While, the vehicle has been great and very fairly priced.
These inconveniences and lack of accountability still left me feeling quite dissatisfied upon reflecting on my experience at Mt Laurel BMW.
Brackets came in pretty much next day, thanks to Greg for super fast shipping, however there were no...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI bought my car a couple of years ago from this dealership and when I think about my experience, it still upsets me to this day.
I am not one to write reviews, but considering that the way I was treated when buying my first vehicle left a bad taste in my mouth and to this day when thinking about buying another car, I thought it was best to share my personal experience.
I bought my car from this dealership a couple of years back and this was my first time purchasing my own car. I started the process online where I was connected to a car sales person/ client advisor. We did most of the paperwork and financing through email. This way I could have the car reserved and ready since I would be coming out of town.
My experience through email was okay. I felt a little rushed, like I had to work on his schedule, but luckily, my partner dealt with the sales man most of the time and I just provided what they needed.
I set an appointment to come to the dealership after everything was āreadyā and met the sales person in person. It was me, my father, who was co-signing the car, and my partner.
I am not sure if I was treated so disrespectfully because I was a very young at the time, a woman, or if it was because we were Latinx. Nevertheless, I have never felt so poorly treated and discriminated against until working with this salesman.
He was beyond disrespectful, gave us poor customer service, and didnāt seem to have any interest in helping me. Instead he made me feel very unwelcome, like I was a bother and as if I was an annoyance to him. I have gone with my partner and my family before to purchase cars and I had never seen them be treated the way I and my father were. In addition, as the salesman was helping other people, I did not see him treat them in any manner as he treated me either.
I waited for hours on hours to be helped by him since the car had a battery issue when I went to test drive it. When we were going to take the car for a best drive, it would not start and he rolled his eyes and he insinuated that I didnāt know how to turn the car on properly, as if I never used a touch start button car before. He tried it himself and it still didnāt work, so he sent the car to have the battery fixed. After that, we test drove the car with the new battery and I had to wait for financing, which took a few hours as well. The finance person that I worked with was very professional and nice but at that point I just wanted to get the car and leave.
It is very unfortunate that this specific person ruined my first experience of buying my first car. Looking back, I wish I would have stood up for myself and my father and just left instead of giving this place and him my money. I think that the fact that we came all the way out of town and had already started the process stopped me from leaving. I wished that I could have requested another sales person but the way I was made to feel that I was a bother and he was doing me favors is why I felt like I couldnāt speak up.
I love my car but the treatment I received was simply terrible. My partner and I still talk about it to this day, since it was such a shocking experience because of the way we were all treated. I have bought two other cars since and have been treated far better than how I was treated here, but thinking about buying cars makes me anxious about being discriminated against again. Luckily, this is something I am...

Recently relocated from Maryland to New Jersey in the middle of my move I began to get error messages on my leased 2024 IX 11 k miles. Took it to the dealer . Returned to me 3 days later no issue found. 2 days later leaving for work vehicle wouldnāt turn on display looked like a computer that was crashing. On hold for roadside assistance for 1 hour . Only to wait an additional 90 minutes for tow to arrive. Again dealer kept car for a few days , cleared faults returned car to me. Three weeks later I was driving the car home from work and it went dead while I was driving . No power at all . Display totally black. Dealer kept car for a week or so returned to me . I opened a case with BMWNA asking for a resolution waiting and waiting and waiting for a response while 100k paper weight sits in my driveway. Only good reviews I see is when ppl take delivery.Good luck. Everything is good until itās not. No you donāt get what you pay for from BMW.Not my first but definitely my last

Just an update , I filed a legal claim against BMWNA. They have had the claim for lemon law with their legal team since my last post . I have been informed by the lawyers that BMW plays hardball and will fight and deny to the end that they have sold a defective car. I thought I had an obvious claim that could easily be settled because my car is a lease. Not true! BMW obviously couldnāt care less about repeat sales I guess they have enough one time customers that they donāt care if you never come there again to purchase or lease this brand of car. Iām still fighting with them and I will until the end of my lease and I can walk away from this car. Joke of all jokes they offered 2500. A few weeks ago for my inconvenience of having a 2024IX that I have had for 18 months that has about 12k miles on it because it has been consistently unreliable for the past 6 months so I donāt even drive the car . Of course they happily accept my payment every 19th with no qualms. Will keep you posted and I sincerely hope you donāt have any problems with the vehicle you are currently driving.
Update 12/2/2024 BMW refuses to work with my lawyers. We are going to court. They have offered 2500.00 and for me to sign stating I wonāt file anymore complaints against them . My 2024 IX still continues to have electrical issues . Now I canāt adjust the steering wheel because it interferes with the attentive driver alert system . But to BMW thatās reasonable I suppose. I canāt trade out of the car because BMW along with other manufacturers wonāt allow 3rd party trades. So until the case settles I am stuck in a lease that should have never gotten to this point. So I will see how this ends, until then of course I will continue to hold up my end of the deal which is to make my payments on time. Otherwise Iām sure BMW would have no problem destroying my credit. I would love to take the car and just leave it on their lot. I am a disabled vet and I have to say this has been one of the most stressful situations I have been in for many years. Again 10 k is when all my troubles began , leasee and buyer beware. Waiting for a tow....
