I have a vendetta against fast food workers. I don’t like them, and they don’t like me. I’m never rude, even with repeat offenders. I must say tho, watching some overweight, middle-aged troglodyte begrudgingly fail at some of the simplest tasks ever afforded to a member of our miserable race of apes, and then having that same Neanderthal treat me as the biggest inconvenience that’s happened to them since the unfortunate moment they gained consciousness, just because I had the unmitigated gall to request they fix whatever overwhelmingly, abysmally, basic specification they managed to biff during that particular visit, really grinds my gears. Just makes me real mad. No good. No good at all. Icky.
This brings me to Raising Cane’s in Mount Pleasant. This restaurant is, without a shadow of a doubt, on every occasion I’ve visited this location, one of the best experiences I’ve had at any fast food joint. The employees always at the very least, act like they enjoy what they do. My order is ALWAYS right. Always. They’re always extremely friendly, accommodating, and efficient. I will gladly wait in their drive thru line, even if cookout down the road is completely empty. This restaurant should be used as an example of how these places should look in order to do the greatest amount of business. You can tell this store is managed beautifully, and it shows itself in every detail. The food is always fresh, and of course it’s very tasty. But I’ll be honest, the food is really the secondary reason I go there. Knowing that I’m going to have enjoyable interaction with the employees, and not have to worry about my order being assembled by what I can only assume is a blindfolded dementia patient who’s up well beyond their normal bedtime. I’ll also point out that I never even recognize the people I see working there. That means that no matter who’s working, my experience is always good. Good management, and good employees....
Read moreThis was my first experience trying Raising Cane's, and now I wish and pray that one comes to either the Conway or Myrtle Beach area.
First I want to say I experienced amazing and very quick service (it was late at night, but still way better than another chicken chain I will mention later), even despite my food accidentally getting dropped, it was already ready again in less than a minute. The employees were very nice and professional as well.
Now onto the chicken. I think the reason why it was so good, and fast, is because Raising Cane's specializes in one thing: chicken tenders and chicken sandwiches. The menu is also small as well, but I think that adds to the quality, consistency, and service of the food. Here in the Grand Strand area, we have only Zaxby's (the best restaurant I can compare it to) from what I can see. Almost every Zaxby's I had been to hasn't been consistent, and the majority of the time the chicken will be hard, french fries stale or cold, and the toast giving you an idea of what Styrofoam is like to eat. Having Raising Cane's made me realize how bad we got it here with Zaxby's. Raising Cane's chicken was JUICY, something I'd never would experience at a Zaxby's. It was so crispy as well, and with the addition of the sauce they had was mind-blowing. The fries were nice and hot, and the buttered bread was probably one of my favorite parts of the 3 finger tray.
I truly, truly hope a location comes to our area, so I don't have to make a 2 hour drive for some good chicken. I will literally never go to a Zaxby's again. Thank you for the amazing experience Raisng Cane's, you guys really do have the BEST...
Read moreWe were there last night (23 JUN) for grabbing some delicious chicken fingers and fries after being at the beach. First off, we were glad that the lobby was open. When we walked in there were 3 people standing behind the counter, 1 out of them…1 was working and the other 2 were literally standing there and leaning on the back counter or wall. Fine, thought maybe they were waiting to switch or something. Ordered our orders and then waited for it to be ready. When they called out our name, my wife asked for knives and the young girl, in a boy polite way, said “we don’t have knives” okay. Then asked for some hot sauce…she provided 3 packets for 3 meals and threw them on on the tray. Now I’m not saying threw them like a football…more like want hot sauce, HERE! kinda throw….oookay. During this 20 second encounter, the 2 young kids who weren’t working (one of which is the one who provided the hot sauce) began to roll their eyes because customers were coming in, I’d say there was probably 3 groups - 1 had a large party of 6 I believe. But I mean, c’mon! Long story short, the 1 young boy at the counter was great…the other 2 made us and the other customers seem like burdens. The pro: chicken was large pieces and...
