The attention to design did not compromise functionality – from the plush bedding to the well-appointed amenities, everything was thoughtfully curated for a truly relaxing stay.
One of the highlights of our stay was the delectable breakfast that was served to us in the morning. The hosts had prepared a spread of local delights and homemade treats that catered to various dietary preferences – a true testament to their dedication to making each guest feel special. We savored every bite while enjoying our host's company.
The B&B's location is also worth noting; nestled in a serene environment, it provided a tranquil escape from the bustle of everyday life. It was conveniently situated near attractions we wanted to explore, allowing us to easily embark on our planned adventures while also having a peaceful retreat to return to.
What truly set Maurrocks B&B apart was the genuine care and attention provided by the hosts. They were more than just innkeepers – they were knowledgeable guides who eagerly shared recommendations, ensuring that we made the most of our short stay.

Read moreWinter storm, 18-19 Feb 2021 @1900, Tired, cold, hungry, weary from working 13 hours but, still have a 1 hour drive home from work through a winding, icy highway and the relentless snow is just starting .....again,! What to do??? Lo and behold, found a bed and breakfast 2 miles away—a no brainer right. All I want at this point is rest and a warm bed. That is all. However, Maurrocks offers that and MORE. Tom ( Proprietor) accommodated me on such a short notice. Luckily, there was a cancellation. He welcomed me and gave a brief tour and off I go to bed....after a glass of red, cheese and grapes. I must have slept for 7 hours straight. I woke up to an excellent homemade breakfast, muffin, fruits, ham and breakfast egg and sweet crusts baked from scratch (am too groggy from being tired to remember the ingredients and name but, boy I can certainly remember they hit the spot). Downed everything with a honey citrus tea and I felt like heaven. Thank you Maureen (Co-proprietor and Chef). After a few affable exchanges with the guests and finding that one other guest and Maureen is also a nurse by history, I felt commonality with them, I relaxed more, ate again and more. Soon was ready for another nap. Mentioned this to Maureen and after finding out that I’m heading back into work she said she is planning on prepping a to go lunch box for me. I was tremendously touched. I can go on forever, and write more about my personal experience and I know I can. Maurrocks is a quaint and a wonderful refuge for the tired and weary, the adventurer and anybody seeking a sanctuary away from home. Extremely and highly recommendable. I am hooked and I am coming back either alone or with loved ones to share the Maurrocks experience! Thank you Maurrocks and thank you Tom and...
Read moreSo glad my husband and I discovered this perfect little gem in the heart of Mt. Pocono. Tom and Maureen are excellent hosts. They made us feel really welcome in their beautiful home. Maureen baked us scones upon our arrival, and we were greeted by all their fabulous furry kids, whom we instantly fell in love with. lol She told us about the history of the home, and both her and Tom gave us excellent recommendations as where to eat lunch/dinner. They also pointed us in the right direction as far as attractions and things to do that were open in the area on weekdays.
Our room was absolutely charming. The bed was very comfortable. The room has everything you need, and more than you'd find in any hotel. The same with the bathroom. I didn't forget to pack anything. But if I had, there was toiletries available. We were free to help ourselves to coffee and snacks. But with the yummy strudel and scones left over, snacks were never needed. The living room was extremely comfortable and quiet and we spent our nights reading in front of a crackling fire.
Breakfast was on a whole other level compared to your average B&B fare. Tom is an amazing cook and really take great care in preparing you a wonderful breakfast. My husband and I enjoyed our conversation with him as much as we enjoyed the food. This was our 16th anniversary and the stay reminded us of the now defunct B&B we stayed in for our Honeymoon. We hope to make this our anniversary go to and stay in each room. I would...
