Me and my boyfriend came here the other day and it was wonderful! Our waitress was so kind and friendly but at somepoint we had noticed she was crying and afterwards we were being helped by someone else. I'm a waitress myself and I know how a hard day can be, so I asked the lady who was helping us if she was okay and she was very nice and told me she just needed a minute and thanked me for the concern. I draw and so my boyfriend told me that I should draw a cat on a napkin with an encouraging message and we could give it to her when we gave her the tip. She came back out, offered us pie to go considering it is included in our meals for an extra small fee, and as we were leaving my boyfriend gave her the napkin and a $25 tip and she was so happy about and it absolutely made our day. He had actually been leaving for the end of his spring break to go back to college and we were very upset that day, but our experience here made us feel so much better. We can wait to come back in the summer!
Edit: Me and my now fiancé came here again while he was on winter break from college, it’s become sort of a tradition for us to come. On our way out one of the employees noticed we had a flat tire. He went inside got gloves and helped my fiancé change it. We didn’t get his name but honestly the continued good experiences are wonderful. Our waitress that day wasn’t very good, but the food was good and we enjoyed...
Read moreMy whole family went to Mt. Pocono location for a dinner. Waitress, I forgot her name, was very rude. She literally dropped our plates to the table. Then she gave me a bill with our meal. We haven’t started to eat yet. I asked for manager. First, my salad had Italian dressing on it when I ordered balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Manager said their balsamic vinaigrette dressing comes in a clear but cloudy color just like Italian dressing. She also said their Italian dressing is actually white. With garlic on Balsamic?? Never heard that balsamic dressing has a garlic on it. I said it looks like Italian to me. Then I talked about bill being presented to me when our order arrived at the table. Manager said it’s their policy to bring that bill. I said we haven’t even started to eat our meals yet. What if I order desert! Manager said then they will make an adjustment and it’s their policy. SUCH A STRANGE POLICY to me!!! Then my plate had a small but visible fried fish skin on my meal so I had to send it back.
Not a single word “I am so sorry” came out of neither manager nor waitress there. No professionalism exists at Perkin’s I guess
I am not saying all perkin’s locations are like this one but guys be aware.
I won’t go back to...
Read moreOkay if you're looking for fine dining this isn't the place. This is a true diner experience. The menu was just upgraded, and that is awesome. The best thing to order for breakfast is the southern fried chicken biscuit or the lumber jack meal. Anyway this place is usually very crowded on Saturday and Sunday mornings and because of that there is a wait but the food is worth the wait. Sometimes because of the wait when you get your food in 5 minutes it's cooled off. But like I said it's uber crowded on weekends. The lunch and dinner options are excellent for diner food. The wait staff is nice even though they are overworked. So for all the people saying the food is disgusting that just isn't true. If you want a cozier experience go during the week, when there are no tourists. But sometimes that doesn't work because Kalahari is right there. So give the place a shot choose for yourself but in my opinion this is a good place to eat if you're looking for a diner. Sorry started eating before I remembered I was supposed to take pictures. 😁
