Today I was in the mood for spice, and I had heard that Arby's had the Diablo Dare Sandwiches. So my partner and I got into the drive in queue to order. I ordered the Diablo Dare Chicken Sandwich (Which comes with a small vanilla milkshake) and my partner ordered the Diablo Dare Chicken Sandwich Meal, with a small vanilla milkshake, a medium curly fry, and a medium Sprite. I had tried "spicy" chicken sandwiches before and I was disappointed....
while I prepared for the inevitable disappointment of yet another sandwich, I hoped, nay, I prayed that this would be the one I enjoyed..... I opened the box, to see a beautifully red bun, with flecks of a deeper, more baleful red. The cheese was white with an ominous speckle of deep crimson.....the jalapenos, deep as the green of an emerald shone brightly against the crimson of the sauce.
I dared to bite into this beautiful concoction , that reminded me of bygone days of Christmas past, and was surprised with the Hallelujah chorus of delightful flavors. As bite after bite was consumed the chorus only rose in volume.....until the last bite.......I reached a spice bliss that has been yet unachieved...My mouth was a flame, but the sweetness, the saltiness, the umami of the burger was not diminished.
I had met the spice to flavor ratio that had been fleeing from every other competitor...
It was spice and flavor combined in a perfect...
Read moreOur 3rd bad experience in a row dining in. The restaurant is clean besides the Arby's sauce/ketchup containers. The ketchup was more red water than ketchup and they didn't care at all when told them about the problem. So no ketchup on that visit. Also the restrooms are absolutely horrible smelling everytime we've visited. Just got the new pulled pork sandwich and the 1 tablespoon of meat was 100% refrigerator cold. My wife's sandwich had the top bun broken in half, and the bottom bun was twice as thick as usual. All this after yet again about a 20min wait to get our food with nobody in the drive through and only 1 other party of 3 waiting and pissed to get their food to go. The mgr/drive-through order person was sitting out in dinning area for the second visit in a row being extremely loud. This time, 5 other people who seemed to be off-duty employees were with her coming in to get what looked to be free food. The door to the kitchen opened and SLAMMED SHUT over 30 times easily, for our 30 minutes dinner visit. That also happens every visit because the door is obviously broken and nobody cares enough to fix it, or at least pull it closed gently. This place needs an...
Read more0 stars, well maybe 1 star because the food practically cooks itself. The people running the store (-10) MINUS TEN. Alisa in particular was extremely rude.
I placed a thirty one dollar order and they refused to take a fifty (ok, bychance they were worried of counterfeit.) Will add more when I arrive home. My husband is allowed out very rarely. He has Emphysema. Terminal. On oxygen full time, he was excited to get to go to his favorite restaurant, "Arby's". We are on a fixed income and it always cost an arm and a leg to eat at are we but it was a special occasion he got out of the house. I have never been treated so poorly to spend so much money over food that was at best regular, not even star-quality. I live 30 + miles from everywhere which is an hour at best. So since the tank only holds 2 hours of air you don't just go anywhere unspecial. I will never again go to the Mount Vernon Washington Arby's the world could set itself on fire and I will not enjoy food where the people poison the atmosphere. my suggestion to one and all? Skip this. Never. Let that be part of your vocabulary that is synonymous with the word Arby's. You could not...
