Hunan Garden — Restaurant in Mount Vernon

If I could give a zero I would. I ordered an order to go and when they asked for special instructions, I asked for the brocolli on the side because the sauce gets watered down. When I received my order, the brocolli was not on the side. I called in to inform them of this and they told me to call Diner Dash, that it was their fault and it shocked me considering Diner Dash were simply providing us with a service that did not include the making of our food!!?. But regardless, I called them and that's when I was informed that Hunan told them that they would not make my order that way because they were too busy.!!! First off, I'm paying for my food to be the way I want, second, had I known this, I would not have ordered at all and third, the guy kept interrupting me and hung up on me. I will never order from this place again! Ichiban is much better! I've never heard of a restaurant doing this to people, but then again, we are talking about a completely different culture and maybe they think it's ok to tell people how they will get the food that they are paying for, made!!!!!!!! I will be sure to tell every person that I talk to or come into contact with, what Hunan Garden did to us and ruined our dinner. The dinner we paid fo,pr which is money that helps them pay their bills!!! Really? Diner dash immediately contacted Hunan to resolve this matter for us and we really did appreciate them for doing so! I think that the end result will not be a positive one for Hunan and it will be much deserved! You do not treat customers that way...especially when your entire livelihood is provided by those same customers and businesses that help you sell...

I ordered 2 dinners of sesame chicken with pork fried rice, steamed dumplings, fried crabragoons, and 4 egg rolls. the amount of sesame chicken they gave for the price was VERY small amount, was not happy especially the price we paid for this. Not Satisified tried talking to them about this and when i called then the person who answered just didn’t care about my complaint even when i said i’d drive back there to show them the amount of sesame chicken i got and she said there’s nothing she can do to help me and just hung up.. Ordered over $30 in food. Got home and part of the chicken was undercooked, chicken(without sauce) tasted extremely sweet and rice was super hard. I called and the guy on the phone kept telling me he didn't believe me because no one else had complained and that they don't use sugar in the batter. I told him I had no reason to lie.
