Scooter's Coffee — Restaurant in Mundelein

DO NOT EVER GO TO SCOOTER’S COFFEE. This place is beyond horrible and should honestly just shut down. I ordered a cold drink and was first given a hot one. When they finally remade it, the ‘cold’ drink was room temperature—absolutely disgusting. The food? Ice cold, undercooked, and completely inedible. To make it worse, one employee was outside smoking the entire time instead of working, and my food and drinks actually smelled like smoke because of him. The rest of the staff treated me like garbage with their rude, condescending attitudes. The so-called manager, a guy with black hair and a beard, thought a stale, $1 pack of donuts would somehow make up for their total incompetence—are you kidding me? The drinks are outrageously overpriced and so much worse than Starbucks it’s laughable. Very strange experience. I was excited to give this place a try for a while now. I finally had a chance to go and I had a very weird impression. The place looked deserted. I had already checked out the menu online and simply wanted to try one of their frappuccino-styled beverages. When I got to the drive through I asked if they served frappachinos and the worker seemed either genuinely unsure or mildly confused or disinterested almost as if I was bothering her with my singular question. "I think we do that", is basically what I was told. The whole place had a vibe that almost was reminiscent of what I can only picture what some sort of haunted and eerie coffeeshop drive-through would be. Absolutely fantastic coffee shop! The drinks are seriously top-notch. The staff is incredibly friendly, lively, and fun. It's clear that the manager/owner truly cares about the customers, the quality of service, and the drinks. This care extends to the staff, which reflects in their excellent service. Don’t worry about long lines – they move quickly, even on the busiest days. The app is excellent, though adding a feature to favorite regular drinks would be a nice touch. The app is intuitive and makes earning free drinks quick and easy. No need to preload funds too which is nice. FYI, this is a drive thru only service and app orders are started when you arrive ensuring the freshest order. Give this location a try and it will become your next favorite location too. Great...
