We just stood here for one night on our way back to Illinois. When it comes to reservations, I usually like to look up the prices online and then I call to verify and make reservations. I found 2 queen suite non smoking for $90 (save $5 if you only book one night). I called and they stated that it would going to be $199 total. I told the representative that I found it on their website for $90 not for $120 like they were stating on the phone. The rep told me that I must be looking at the wrong website which I knew i wasn’t! Again told him the specific website i went on and how I got the price and he just said “that’s wierd .. i still can’t honor that price”. I told I’ll book online then and he said “you can try”. So I booked online for the $90 a night and everything went smoothly when I checked in. The lady in the front was very nice and friendly. So the rep was full of S*.
The building itself was nice and didn’t look worn down. The lobby was small but looked cute. The room was nice and pretty big. The room had a wierd smell when you come in... not over whelming or anything but the smell was there. The beds were sort of hard but was decent for one night. The toilet DID NOT FLUSH! I only went pee so I knew it wasn’t me lol. The toilet would just start going up like it was flooded. So we couldn’t use the toilet.. luckily we came there at 9:30pm so we went to the bathroom at the restaurant before coming back to the hotel. We had to go to McDonald’s right away after waking up so we can use the bathroom... annoying! The Breakfast- not a Breakfast at all!!!.. only carbs... only biscuits, waffles, and cereal. Oh, and coffee. We saw a truck driver eating lucky charm cereal... probably paid $199 a night... not right at all. We didn’t eat there and decided to go to McDonald’s instead (where we needed to go to the bathroom anyways because toilet...

They made me sign a contract saying that it's a "100% smoke free" hotel, and also asked if I wanted any of the handful of smoking rooms on the top floor??? My room smelled like it was a smoking room a few years back, too.
The heater gave off less heat than leaving my laptop on, somehow. Might need to service that. Paper walls too, heard everything from the sidewalk and road outside as if the window was open (I checked, it wasn't).
Once in the bathroom, it was nearly impossible to close the door. Clearance between the door and toilet was about one inch, much too small for any able-bodied person, much less someone with accessibility concerns.
They're very very strict about their deadlines. Wouldn't even so much as talk to me because I arrived 30 minutes before hotel-wide check-in started. Ironically, the cleaning staff barged into the room over 30 minutes before checkout during our 1-night stay.
Breakfast was... pitiful, and the orange juice had clearly gone bad days before we arrived (it was brown!).
Overall, I'll be keeping to EconoLodge. Kinda regret trying something new this time. I'd say I got what I pay for, but I've paid less THIS YEAR for much more welcoming and cozy stays at motels with much less staff. Just goes to show you need passion to pull off a good motel. If you don't have a passionate staff, pay them much better. If you can't pay a dispassionate staff much better, you failed at running a motel.
Room was pretty for...
Read moreFirst off - I booked a room at this Baymont (via internet) King size handicapped suite. When I arrived the guest host at the desk told me he placed someone else in that room just before I arrived. I have an injured knee and the only king he had left was on the second floor. I should not climb stairs however, I was told my other option would be a double bed. My husband and I preferred at least a queen size bed and I was told that the king on the 2nd floor or a double size bed was my only option. I took the king size, which was a suite with a kitchen sink and NO bathroom sink. I told the guest host that I would only go up the stairs once and back down once to avoid further injury to my knee. My husband went to the breakfast nook to get me something for breakfast. He was told by an employee that he couldn't take anything to me. When my husband made himself a waffle and ate it, he got a sick stomach and it came back up. He informed that the batter had been sitting there in a plastic cup with a lid and was warm. The batter was not kept cool in the proper dispenser and he became sick after eating the waffle he made from it. No cable 📺 tv only analog... I would not give this establishment any stars. 👎 Not a single star at all. However, this app would not allow me to post my review without a star. I will never return there nor would I recommend this location to anyone. Totally...
