As an update, they took this complaint very serious and addressed this issue with the workers and with me. The GM and Marketing team made sure that I was spoken to. They validated my experience and have offered to make this right. At this time, I will be willing to go back and try them out again. Thanks for making sure that this was handled appropriately.*
I was just humiliated in this restaurant. The waitress brought a cup with a hole in the bottom. That's okay, because holes can happen in plastic cup. However, it leaked all over the table. I held it off the edge of the table to prevent the leaking, still it's okay because this stuff happens. The waitress came over after half the cup drained out. She took the cup and got a new glass and a stained cold soaking wet rag. When she came back, she put the wet rag in my lap. SOAKING COLD WET RAG COMPLETELY IN MY LAP. She then picked it up, and went to wipe the soda up. She PUSHED all the soda from the table on to my lap! It was at the end of the table, not near me, but she pushed back into my lap, right off the edge of the table. She smiled as she said "Sorry." I asked her why she would wipe it all in my lap and she said, "I said I was sorry", still smiling. I couldn't believe it. I asked for a manager, told him what happened and he asked some questions and acted like it wasn't a big deal that I had a nasty stained cold wet rag soaked through my pants and the liquid from the table pushed on to my lap. He said, "I just don't know why that happened, that's not one of our standards". I started to cry and told him I was leaving. I can't believe he didn't even offer an apology, or make an offer to coach the waitress or even made an offer to have a waitress help us get a to go order started. I won't be visiting this restaurant again as there are to many places with good customer service skills...
Read moreVery bad experience at Sam's Sports Grill tonight! BEWARE of egotistical bartender Austin, he is guaranteed to make your dinning experience miserable if you are not chosen by him. Drove from Nolensville, TN (40.min) to dine at a favorite restaurant that I frequented in Murfreesboro for 12 years before moving. They were out of everything! To add insult to injury, Austin refused to make a drink to my taste that only required excluding portions of juices. "Yes, you heard me" I was willing to pay regular price for less. Austin was pumped up, smug and told me to go through my server to order another drink enstead of fixing it as all bartenders do. After talking to several people in the dinning room about my experience, was told that Austin has a reputation of treating certain customers bad and I happen to be black so it felt racail to me. Never in 12 years have I had an experience like that at Murfreesboro Sam's. A group of friends averaging 10, have been meeting at the Brentwood location for the past 4 years once a week. Service is fantastic! Not sure why stakeholders would unleash someone like Austin on long standing good paying customers like myself but it's how business dies! I'm a business owner myself and would not tolerate someone like Austin damaging my reputation with his selfishness, immaturity and lack of good work ethic. I do not recommend Sam's Sports Grill in...
Read moreFirst time coming here tonight, and it definitely made a good impression! I needed to kill time on Easter evening, and with many of my regular places already closed, I decided on Sam's. Place was kinda crowded but clean. I went to sit at the bar and Amber was quick to ask how she could help. I had a few questions about beers and food and she was quite knowledgeable. Even though I had just met her, she made me feel right at home with a new friend, something which is not lost on a guy who's always at the bar by himself. I tried a Brown Sugar Brown Cow to drink and a bowl of the campfire chili. The beer was very unique in a good way. The chili was good as well, but by no means the best I've had. After I finished, I told Amber what I thought of the beer and asked about her beer likes, where upon she gave me some great ideas for next time. The customers around me were also open and friendly, and I genuinely walked out feeling like I had made new friends! Even though I'm based out of Smyrna now, I'll definitely be coming back again!
UPDATE: I returned to this location the following Sunday evening and Amber was right on point again. Even with a bar full of people, she kept up with everyone with a (masked) smile on her face. She even remembered what everyone was drinking! If I didn't think she deserves a raise after last weekend, now I...
