It's sad that I'm leaving this place a one star review, because the actual food here IS good. Unfortunately, that's about where the positives end. I have eaten here on several occasions now and not only is everything on the menu overpriced, but the service is consistently poor each and every time-- despite the restaurant always being virtually empty. Whether it has been the staff forgetting about my order (i.e. Sitting for 45+ minutes before receiving a plate of noodles when the place isn't busy), food that should be hot coming out cold, or being overcharged on your ticket, it's always been something. Even trying to wrangle in your server to just pay for your bill is like pulling teeth. The head waitress (who I am assuming is the co-owner) is also very difficult and can be unpleasant to deal with. I was flashed a dirty look last time for inquiring about the possibility of making a simple salmon roll that for whatever reason was not on the menu and then given a ludicrous price for said roll ($10+). Okay, sounds legit. Also during my last visit, she was engaged in an argument with another customer sitting parallel to me who was simply asking for a different combination of items that were already available on the menu. Instead of attempting to be hospitable, the waitress proceeded to engage her in a war of words. The customer actually got up and LEFT after only being in the restaurant for maybe 5-10 minutes due to her poor treatment, and no sooner was this woman out the door that said head waitress (who, mind you, is a grown person) nearly RAN over to the other employees and proceeded to talk badly about her well within earshot. I suppose she assumed that no one else in the room could understand Korean... or that there are some people know what an "ajumma" is, lol. Anyways, having just moved to the area within the last year, I will be doing some exploring in Nashville very soon for alternatives to this place. Pretty sad that I'd rather drop money on 50+ minutes worth of gas than...
Read moreJust OK. I’m not a big fan of cream cheese and space filler sushi so I ordered Spicy Tuna and wanted to try their Hawaiian roll because there were no cream cheese/ deep fried. The spicy tuna was a letdown, too much cucumbers , couldn’t really taste the tuna or their spice. Hawaiian roll looked good but the seaweed was so chewy. I ordered Salmon sashimi as well just to see how fresh their fish is on Tuesday. They were fresh but the size was ok but Km fine with them for the price point. I tried squid salad, even though they weren’t deep fried, they are a bit chewy, this is cooked and serve room temp towards chill. I found out that the couple who cooked and served were Korean. I should have leaned towards Korean food. The name of the restaurant misleading me that I was going get an awesome sushi dinner. I took pix of their menu, a bit annoying that I couldn’t get to see the price unless I have another menu side by side. When I searched for “Sushi near me” on Google map, this restaurant came up, I saw 4.4 stars and thought, I could give it a try. I should have zoom in those images from pep who love this place, they were cream cheese, half avocado, half fish, average price on rolls are $15 , I expect more fish. Just how I view a sushi...
Read moreif i could put zero stars then i would. this place doesn't deserve a single one. absolutely RUINED my birthday experience. my father ordered $100 worth of this scam of sushi as a birthday gift and it was only the thought that counted because this food was so sub-par. charged basically $10 a piece for sushi rolls containing each only 5 pieces and that is NOT stated on the menu. I called to question the volume of food received because of the amount of money spent and was yelled at even after I apologized and realized that the food was here, it was just EXTREMELY small quantities. I also ordered the teriyaki chicken plate and they CHARRED the sauce and proceeded to still sell and serve this item to me. I took one bite and almost threw up. I told them that I'd bring it back to have it exchanged for a fresh meal, but I didn't even want to go through the possible arguing after seeing all of these reviews about their horrible attitude towards paying customers. I will never eat here or recommend anyone to waste their money here again. OISHIYA on cason lane is MUCH better and the prices are much better as well. they have EXTREMELY friendly and understanding staff. i have never had a horrible experience like this at...
