First, let me say that I love to stay at Baymont Inns but this was, by far, my worst experience with a hotel since I was a teenager. When I first arrived, I could smell a musky, wet, earthy dog smell. I chalked it up to it being a room that pets were allowed in, which I paid $25 a night and nonrefundable for my pet to stay with me. It felt like the pillows and the bed were moist? I later found out on the second night that the floor was soaking wet by the door way, and under the television, my husband had went to the front desk to ask for an extra blanket for my kid and they told him they didn’t give extra blankets. The lady was extremely rude. Later on, the second night, there were drug busts in the parking lot all night long. There were two people selling drugs, and there were undercover cops, arresting people, and putting them in a camper. Needless to say, we stayed away from the activity. I paid $100 deposit when I arrived And we are smokers but we do not smoke around our kid. When you walk out our door, there is an ashtray, not even 2 feet away from our front door. Literally, you walked out the door, and on the other side of the walkway was the giant ashtray that people were constantly using throughout our visit. When I went to the front desk to retrieve my deposit, there was a young girl who told me it would be at least five minutes, she went away. There was another man that had been there every time I had went into the lobby night or day and I have no idea what he even did there. I just know breakfast he was there, Came at 2 o’clock in the morning for change to wash my clothes, which they had 0 quarters and I had to drive around town to try to find quarters. He was there every time this young girl was there, the front desk manager as she called herself. They were flirting with each other, but uninterested in what the customers of the hotel were needing or wanting. I noticed that she called him on the walkie-talkie while he was sweeping a non existent pile of dirt outside and away he went. She came back in and told me that the room reeked of smoke, and I informed her that the ashtray was directly across from the front door, and she basically accused me of smoking in the room, which I assured her did not happen. I told her why would I smoke in a room where I can walk right out the door and there is an ashtray? That would be ridiculous. There were no signs of smoking in the room, the only thing she could come up with was that it smelled like cigarettes. I believe that this guy and this girl are on drugs, they look like they had been up for two nights straight and I know he had been up for two nights and days straight because he had been in the lobby the whole time. I asked for a manager or For the owner to come and give us a second opinion and she refused saying that he would not come and she would not call him. That I could email him with my complaint. Extremely rude will never go back. They are keeping peoples money from them and I believe they are using it for Drugs!! There was a huge spider in the restroom, which bit my ankle, and I killed it. The TV remote didn’t work so I had to Google how to hook up my TV remote with the dish or direct network box and get that working. There was barely any water pressure. I did not recommend anyone staying at this hotel, especially if you have small children who have allergies. There was black mold all around the tub. I don’t want the hotel manager to sincerely apologize to me like they do every other complaint. I would appreciate if my Deposit were refunded to me. Read moreThis is going to be lengthy so brace yourselves. But basically we got a room at this hotel through an app for the discounts. We paid for two nights right, so the first night went smooth, although the breakfast sucked, they barely had food and the drinks were all watered down. Every drink tasted like pure water. But anyway so the next night we went back and this was on March 14th through 16th because we was there for our son’s basketball tournament, so we came back and the key was working smooth and for some reason we had went outside for a split second and went back and our keys was not working. So we went to the front desk to see what was going on. The person at the front desk was acting like he didn’t know so he got the manager, now my husband couldn’t remember our room number but I did, but the manager came down and instantly started being disrespectful to us because my husband couldn’t remember the exact room number when all he had to do was pull it up on the computer because everything should be documented, so that really upset me, then he tried to say that we only had the room for one night when we know we paid for two nights. My husband was trying to show him his confirmation information to prove it but the whole time , this man was really coming off very rude to us for little to nothing. He was talking to us like we were kids so other customers even joined in to tell us that the keys do that all the time, and the manager proceeded to tell us not to talk to them. Now we’re sitting there watching them reset everyone else’s keys with ease, but they gave us a really hard time for almost an hour or more. Trying to make it like we were in the wrong. He came off very racist to us and I just can’t believe that he was even the so called manager and because of this mistreatment, we will never be staying at these types of places ever again and I understand why the ratings is a 2 and honestly it really should be a -3 due to how the way they choose to handle their customers and if I could sue for discrimination I would and they really better hope I don’t because I’m definitely thinking about it but I will make sure that I let everyone I know to never deal with these types of hotels simply because everything we experienced that night was beyond inappropriate and unacceptable. Read moreI had no idea that people could conduct themselves akin to a 5 year old child and still have a job. I tried to retrieve the information needed for points from a stay at this location on 04/10-04/11. They are insisting I did not stay there. Corporate customer service says that the reservation I made was canceled by them. However I did stay there and I have the charge in my bank account to prove it. I call said location and ask if I can get all guest folios for the card that was charged. He will not answer my question. He cuts me off and takes over the conversation. Proceeds to tell me that I need to stop talking and quickly answer his questions or else. I answer all his questions. He tells me how cannot get a folio when I canceled the reservation. I try to explain that I didn't cancel it and confirmed the cancelation on their end via Wyndam Corporate. He asks me for the 7th time if I did stay there and I reply yet again yes. I tell him I'm making a very simple request print the guest folio for the charges in my checking account. If you have no proof that I stayed there then please explain the charge in my checking account. He says that I don't make any sense that I claimed that I did stay there and also that I did not. Again claims that I canceled the reservation myself. I ask him if there's anyone that I can speak too as it's a simple conversation perhaps he cannot understand me due to a language barrier. He hangs up on me and now refuses to answer the phone. If I hadn't stayed at other Wyndam locations I would believe that the whole chain was a dumpster fire based on this interaction. The man I spoke to was rude, condescending, childish and ignorant and obviously has zero respect for women. There were many issues during my stay here but this one took the cake. To Wyndam corporate if you read this please consider this location has your name on it. In all my years of staying at your hotels, about 20 years including during my husband's military service this is the first time I have written a bad review. This business is not worthy of carrying your company name. From vomit on the bathroom walls in a supposedly clean room, to hotel staff that Is either unable to read the do not disturb sign or simply does not care, to outright treating a customer shamefully due to your own limitations and language barriers. Anyone that doesn't know any better is not likely to open their pocketbooks to another location in your chain. In short they are only going to lose you money and further muddy your reputation.
