Our family chose to celebrate Mother’s Day at this location, we're a large group so we made reservations over a week in advance. Everything started off fine and there was no issue with service being a little slow since we understood it was a holiday. However, it took over an hour to order our food. We still remained patient, until the the server dropped ketchup on the table, the floor and on my husbands white tennis shoes. Instead of saying she was sorry for the accident and staying behind to help clean it up she ran off and we basically did not see her the rest of the evening. My nephew had to clean the ketchup from the floor and it was never acknowledged by anyone. We had to ask multiple times to speak to managers because people were waiting for 45 minutes for a drink, no one ever asked for refills for anyone. Half the table we’re getting food the other half was not. I never received my side salad And almost at the three hour mark I asked them to cancel my entrée as I was ready to leave at this point we had multiple issues with food being prepared incorrectly some never received their food and the service team and managers on duty still never could understand what the problem was, take accountability for it or try to resolve it. We had children there obviously, some who did not get their food and those who did was cold and we asked for them to heat it up and it took another 30 to 40 minutes for that to come out. Not once did anyone ever ask is everything OK can we get you anything it was literally the worst service I have ever had. It was four hours before we left and I left hungry. Oh and they brought us checks for food that was not received or was not consumed. They still in my opinion do not take accountability! The servers were also immature speaking disrespectfully to people who are trying to celebrate their Mother’s Day and all they wanted to do was eat. Then as we left, the 2 servers, One who we actually complemented high fived and laughed as we left. I truly have never experienced anything like this and I refuse to ever return to a bonefish Grill even though they did try to give us a $25 promo card. Many of us drove 30 to 40 minutes to come to this location and this was the experience we had, we were there from 5 PM until 9PM. The biggest take away was no one seemed concerned, or at all empathetic to our situation and never tried to see what the real issue was and how to fix it. There are too many options out there and with service like this you will never survive in this industry. My advise is to better train your staff not to make excuses such as it’s a holiday, since we’re aware.. they failed at every point and did not care to make it right. What’s really sad is, there was more than what I have listed here...
Read moreMy husband and I dined at Bonefish today, (4/6/24)and probably for the last time. Unfortunately, Bonefish has slowly deteriorated over the past 5-8 years. We used to be weekly customers of Bonefish Grill. The menu has been and is stagnant. We know the long time bartender Tom who is usually very nice.
Our server today (Elysia?) could have cared less about her job or customers. The restaurant was pretty much empty at 12:30. (Clue #1). It has probably been 6-7 months since we visited the restaurant. The server was below sub-par. She did not check on us until about 15 minutes after we received our meals. She was too busy talking the other server we asked for help from. The steak came without a steak knife and the sides were wrong. We stopped another server and she said I will let your sever know. Really???? Besides that, the restaurant begin to smell like a sewer. The whole experience was terrible. My husband who is way more laid back than I am about service said this was the worst service he has ever had in Murfreesboro. We usually leave a 25% plus tip or more because as a former restaurant manager, I know what the experience should be in a restaurant such as Bonefish. We left zero tip. I have only done this maybe once or twice in my lifetime. I felt bad but the service was just downright terrible. The food was subpar but if the service was good, we still would have tipped 25% or more.
I think the issue is lack of work ethic in the current generation. They do not care about the job or the customer. They only care about paying their rent and bills. They have no interest in pleasing their employers or customers due to an attitude of expectation. Tips without effort. The Tip culture in America is ridiculous. We just returned from Europe and the restaurant employees are very grateful for your presence because they are not working solely for tips alone. They actually do not expect tips.

Read moreDo I usually love this place, unequivocally yes! Yet, our visit on 12/15/23 was honestly by far the worst experience I have ever had at this location! Our usual server was not there (Casey) and it went downstairs to the basement from there. We are greeted and sat told our server will be with in a moment. We'll, our named server is standing behind us chatting with customers about her college courses, when she graduates, what her credit is doing, they advise her of insurance, what an acquaintance of theirs has done and the like! Now this is going on for a solid 8mnts after we have been sat with no greet, drinks or anything! So she finally greets us and let's us know she (even though she was named our server) is "only" taking our drink order and another server will be taking care of us! Again, in between visits to the table for app (calamari), coffee, and our food order there was most likely 15-20mnts between each one! I literally had to go to the bar and ask "my server" for a refill of my wife's sweet tea, I took the glass to her and everything as I walked past I assume the MOD as he has yet to say a word to me or the server! My fish along with the calamari (skimpy) was over done and it was really unsettling how poor this experience was! Doesn't mean we will not be back, but we have spent a good deal of money at this restaurant and service of this level is unusual and disappointing. Even at shift change, servers need to pay 10x's more attention as I am a former server and I see all these things happening in real time! Our server was ready to go to her 2nd job at another restaurant and I was really left (along with wife whom was in pain from broken arm) feeling slighted. We will be back, but I genuinely hope this is rectified and doesn't happen again or I will find another location to patron. Do better at shift change, and pay more attention to your...
