Here at 11:50 am on Wednesday July 24th. I’m 62 years old, so I grew up when “Customer Service” meant something. Customers expected it and companies truly tried to provide it. These are very different times indeed.
I got here and stood in line with other customer and quickly noticed the irritation on everyone’s faces. There was no one manning the cash register and that of course, is because like far too many places nowadays, there’s a Kiosk they want you to order from. Of course that doesn’t work for customers paying with that soon to be extinct currency called “Cash”.
Peeking around the corner, I asked a “manager” named Clarisa, if anyone was working the register? She said she would be right with me and immediately went back to working the French fry station. Mind you, I counted no less than 8 employees back there. I was finally able to flag down a young lady dropping off bags at the counter and placed my order. While doing so, I pointed out that the digital menu, showed the McDouble Meal was price at $6, when in fact it is $5. She stated “ I have nothing to do with that. That’s the people that come in”. Then asked for a manager and she began to take someone else’s order. She eventually went back and told Clarisa that I was looking for a manager to speak with. Clarisa continued to fulfill orders. I finally got tired of waiting and flagged Clarisa down and asked her if I could speak with the highest level manager on duty. She said that the GM was not there at there. She stated that I should speak to the second in charge, who anlso wasn’t there and I asked for that person‘s name and number. She wrote that down for me.
I then said to her that I believed that “this place could run a little bit more efficiently” and she used the way over used excuse that “we’re short handed and you can tell him about that” and walked away. I then called the number she gave me and of course it immediately went to voicemail, so I left a message for Jose.
By the way, the food was fine, the burger was a little dry, but overall, I gave it a 4 out of 5.
In a time when most customers are overly Frustration Customer service tolerant of terrible service, I’ll speak up and hopefully help improve not only the service we receive, but maybe, just maybe, the attitudes of the employees hired. I know those employees exist out there, just visit an In-N-Out Burger location and you’ll see old-fashioned “customer service”, in every employee they hire.
It comes down to this, the attitude of management and the quality of employees they hire, dictate the quality of service provided to the customers. It’s...
Read moreWent here for dinner tonight because the line at In N Out was like 50 cars deep. This was literally the worst experience I have ever had at a fast food restaurant! First it took them 3 mins just to take my order of a happy meal, double quarter pounder combo, and hamburger. I notice the hamburger wasn't on the screen so I said did you get the hamburger, and the girl said pull forward and they will add it at the next window. They added it on and I pulled forward to the pickup window were I was immediately told to pull into the numbered parking spaces. The girl running the food out to every car that went thru the drive thru asked me 4 times if this was my order and everytime it wasn't! People all around were getting their orders before mine. It was over 20 mins now without my order so I finally gave her my receipt and said this is what I ordered and they acted like I already got it. Wouldn't I have been gone if I got my order already?! I waited another 10 mins and still no food after they took my receipt and everything. I finally got out of the car with my 2 kids one 7 and the other 1 who was crying almost the entire time and went inside to get my order. Never got any apology from a manager, just one from the girl who gave me my order. Thinking the order was exactly what I ordered since I gave them my receipt with the exact order on it I trusted it was all right... We get home and notice my daughters happy meal had chicken nuggets instead of a cheeseburger and my sons hamburger that was ordered outside of the main order for some reason was missing!! Really nice to find out my son who was crying the whole time wasn't even going to get to eat his dinner... This whole pulling forward thing is such a joke!! Literally a company worth billions and can't get things in...
Read moreWent earlier today to get some food and needed to use the bathroom. They are not allowing customers inside to use the bathroom Even though I spoke with a young man named Dominic at curbside window plead with him that I was fully vaccinated and I need to use the bathroom. They will not let me use the bathroom at all. He kept telling me it wasn’t his call. I told him should I just use the bathroom outside ? Also asked him how can customer use bathroom? You would figures as they’re serving food and they would have facilities for customers. I guess it’s just for their elite employees even though the customers are paying their salaries and keeping them employed to McDonald’s a customer is not important. I explained that it wasn’t personal just he was the one helping . He carried on with rant with a very disrespectful attitude. Dominic showed his immaturity going back and forth so he just close the curbside window and walked away. I had to ring the doorbell for five time before a manager came out. It’s obvious by the way Dominic conducted himself this is a learned behavior that has management team has allow him to get away and treat customers anyway they want to. The manager would not give me explanation of why they were not allowing customers to use the bathroom. I explain to her that there’s businesses in her same area they have more customers come in and out of the stores and they’re open and they let people use their bathroom. She apologize she was very nice. I explain to her that her apology wasn’t good enough when I had to go to the bathroom. Take your business elsewhere go to another McDonald’s or another business don’t waste your money there. I guess it doesn’t matter to McDonald that I’m fully...
