Ocean Poke — Restaurant in Murrieta

I've been to this place several times now so my review is based in that. The food overall is good and well since you can customize it, the flavor depends on your choices. Like other reviews stated, their house sauce has Wasabi. I personally don't really care for Wasabi so I opt for their Poke Sauce. I've found I like a salad base with the poke sauce and eel sauce on the salad and spicy mayo on the fish. Like other reviews stated, this place has probably one of the best varieties of fish/seafood options. So overall again, the flavor of the food is actually really good if you have your choices already figured out. Where I do knock this place down is on the portions of certain items like avocado and the crab mix. The scoops are small and anything more than that is an extra charge. Combine that with the price of the bowl which seems to go up the last couple of visits, and you get about $17 for a large salad bowl with no drink. With drink you'll end up at $20. In comparison to other places this is high. I would still recommend this place but if you have a closer location or another spot along your travels I'd give them a try first. Save yourself the heartache and go to a different poke spot. This place overfills their bowls with rice to compensate for the lack of fish they’ll give you. You’re better off buying a sushi roll from elsewhere, or even heading to Poke& Salad in Temecula, because the amount of protein they give you at ocean poke for each “scoop” is ridiculously small. Their prices are also not updated on their yelp page or anywhere else online. Charged me $15 for a four scoop bowl that looks like two scoops on mountains of rice. A poke place that is so delicious you’ll go back for more! This poke place popped up on our radar on yelp. Claiming to be one of the best, we checked this place out. It was quite busy but they had great service and were turning orders over very quickly. The variety of fish and topping was extensive which made the choices even better. I went for one of the large poke bowls, with lots of toppings and rice, while my wife went for the sushi burrito style. Both were amazingly delicious and the prices were very reasonable.
