I've only been here twice, both times I got their Chicago stuffed crust pizza. The first visit was my first time ever having a Chicago deep dish, I was so/so about it, but liked it enough to give it another chance with a different combo of toppings. The first time, I made the mistake of getting extra cheese as one of my toppings because the pizza even without extra comes with so much you're pretty much getting it by default.
This time, I got 3 toppings and the cheese to toppings ratio made it significantly better, I would even go as far as to say this is one of the best pizzas I've had. Trust me, even if you REALLY REALLY love cheese like I do, this is one of those things you're actually sabotaging it by getting extra.
Oh, one other thing, I was worried about making an order online because I'm a premature boomer who's never ordered a pizza online from a local pizzeria before, I've always either called or walked in. My big fear was them not realizing someone made an online order and having not even started making it, but that wasn't the case, it was done before I got there, walked in and out...
Read moreI'll admit it. My wife and I are Pizza snobs. We won't even order delivery (or frozen) pizza of any kind because they all suck! But the other night we discovered Your Pizza Stop and went away pleasantly surprised. This is a sweet family-owned and run business and although their shop is small, it's very quaint and clean. Jade, the owner's daughter always provides kind and excellent service. As far as the traditional pizza goes, it was near perfect! The crust is delicious and not too doughy nor does it taste like cardboard. The toppings are generous and the mozzarella cheese was authentic. They also specialize in Chicago style pizza which is very uncommon around here and hard to do right. It takes a bit longer as Chi style pizza does, but well worth it. There are a few tables inside if you want to eat there, as we usually do because its best enjoyed hot and fresh. We sincerely love this pizza joint and recommend that if you're a pizza snob too, you stop and give this wonderful...
Read moreOrdered a large cheese pizza as I believe that's the best way to assess pizza quality. The pizza was very good. Cooked just right. Tasty cheese, sauce, and good crust. Also ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce and the lasagña. The meat sauce on the spaghetti left A LOT to be desired. There was extremely little evidence of meat at all. Both from a taste and visual standpoint. It tasted like a store bought, canned manara sauce. I decided it wasn't worth the calories and threw it away. The lasagña was good. It was topped with same cheese as the pizza. Each pasta dish came with salads. They were made with Romaine lettuce. The Italian and Ranch dressings were quite tasty. Also tried the cinnamon pretzel sticks. They're made from the pizza dough and covered with cinnamon and sugar. These were soft and tasty. 0 to 5 rating Pizza - 5 Lasagña - 3.5 Spaghetti with "So called" meat sauce - big 0 Cinnamon pretzel sticks -...
