So to start, we sat in the drive thru for just under 20 minutes with only one car in front of us... But that was expected because the Muscatine taco bell has always been the furthest thing from FAST food. When we get to the window we are told we need cash because their card machine went down... That's not a big deal either as tech issues happen and thankfully we had cash, but this would have been good information to provide when we ordered in case we had only our cards. Now the issue. We ordered two crunch wraps, two tacos and two burrito supremes. 6 items. We get our food and start heading home. Checking our bag we find no tacos so we call them and explain. We are told to come back and come into the lobby to get the rest of the order we paid for. So back to taco bell we go. We get there just as who I assume was the manager was about to lock the door. We tell her that we are just needing the rest of our order that was not in our bag. She says she just closed the lobby and we have to use the drive thru... Which now has 7 cars in it. 20 minutes into our second wait in the drive thru with now having only two less cars in line front of us I decide to call again to see if they can just bring them out. I tell them that we already have a combined 40 minutes of time and the purchase price of our food invested in these tacos but I really don't want to add another 30+ minutes to that investment. I then get told I can stay in the drive thru or come back another time to claim my already paid for food.
So... Here we sit eating cold food because we foolishly thought we would be just running back up to taco bell two minutes away and grabbing our food from the lobby... And no tacos. I guess giving someone what they paid for is an outdated custom as far as the Muscatine taco bell...

Let me take you on a wild ride through our recent Taco Bell escapade! We rolled up with high hopes and hungry bellies, ready to dive into those glorious tacos and burritos that we all know and love. Spoiler alert: the food did not disappoint! Each bite was a flavorful explosion that made our taste buds dance with joy. Seriously, who doesn’t love a good Crunchwrap or a cheesy Gordita?
However, there's a plot twist in this taco tale. We decided to embrace the futuristic world of kiosk ordering, thinking it would be a breeze. While it was definitely speedy, we couldn’t shake off the feeling that something was missing—oh right, good old-fashioned customer service! You know, the kind where you can chat with a friendly face while ordering your favorite cheesy delights. The kiosks are great, but they lack that personal touch that makes dining out so enjoyable.
Despite that little hiccup, the delicious food made up for it. Taco Bell, you’ve got our hearts (and stomachs) with your mouthwatering menu. Just a sprinkle of friendly service would take this experience from good to unforgettable! We’ll definitely be back for more taco adventures—just maybe with a side of human interaction...
Read moreService was horrible. When I arrived to pick up my food they were focused on working on the drive thru. I ordered through the app and it had said my order was finished and it wasn’t even started. They asked if the people in the lobby was DoorDash one person got to answer then they walked away. I always watched one person who was there before I was not get their order until after I got mine. I also watched 3 people who got there after I did get their food and leave. There was one person who got there at the same time as I did and get their food before I did. I get I ordered mine on the tacobell app and he did his at the kiosk in the store and possibly dining in. It was just disappointing that there were people got their food before the DoorDash guy who had been there longer than myself. I have been here many times and they have always messed up my order by substituting things without talking to me about it before just doing it. This place has gone downhill by...
