I’m an out-of-towner and stopped in because it’s close to where I’m staying. I expected this place to be like a chain with okay food, but severely misjudged. It’s very modern and clean, but authentic. The staff was more than welcoming and service was great. I had seen the Rangoon on the menu and was shocked at the price, but seriously worth it. It was hands down the best Rangoon I’ve ever had. I also ordered the fried pork dumplings which were noteworthy as well. The pho is where I’m not sure how to feel. The noodles had so much flavor but the broth tasted like it was missing something. It also had a spice I couldn’t put a finger on that was very overwhelming. I wish it would have had a bit more cilantro but I also understand that’s not everyone’s cup of tea. I don’t think it was bad, but maybe a signature flavor for this restaurant. The meatballs were okay, they tasted homemade and fresh but I’ve had better elsewhere. Overall, everything was absolutely delicious and I’d recommend anyone staying in the area to...
Read moreFood portions (got vermicelli noodles) was considerably smaller than most pho places we have been too. I usually have leftovers instead i left hungry! They brough fish sauce in a small bowl that wasn’t even 1/4 full when i asked if i could have more I was charged $0.50 which has never happened to me at pho plaves before. The meat for me was too chewy and lacked a lot of flavor just tasted like cooked meat with no seasoning. My son said his fried rice didn’t have a lot of flavor but was still decent. They brought all our food out and took about five minutes longer to bring out my youngest son’s bowl of white rice which to me should’ve been the quickest and easiest but instead he had to wait even giving another couple their food that came in way after us. Service was nice. Waiter was good. Place was clean just disappointed in food size, taste and being charged for a little bit of fish sauce. Hate giving small places hard reviews but if your not honest things...
Read moreSo yummy. Ate here while waiting for my daughter to get her nails done next door. Since then, I have eaten there 4 times and every time I have gone, the food taste great so far I have tried the following and will rate it 1 to 5:
The grilled pork sandwich (5) : delicious and flavorful
Crab Rangoon (3) : nothing wow about it
Pork spring rolls (5)
Beef summer rolls (4) : the peanut sauce could be better but the roll itself is yummy.
Grilled pork with spring rolls vermicelli (4)
The grilled pork chop with rice and egg (5) : rice is soft, pork is flavorful and juicy, and the fried egg adds a nice touch. The carrot/radish could marinate a little longer for more flavor
And the grilled sliced pork with rice. (5) this one is just easier for my little one to eat than the pork chop
Service wasn’t anything memorable. but the food, I definitely enjoyed.
Parking wasn’t an issue at the time but I can see it being an issue if it’s a...
