Boardwalk Snack & Ice Cream — Restaurant in Myrtle Beach

Went here 3 times this week: once for funnel cake, once for slushies, and once for soft ice cream. All three were top notch. We met two different servers, a young lady and a young man, and both were very pleasant and professional.

We tried the funnel cake 2 different ways, one with chocolate syrup and one with strawberry. We loved both. Later, we tried mango and cherry slushies. Both had bold, refreshing flavors. Finally, the soft serve ice cream we had our last night in town was creamy, smooth, and tasty. Don't waste your time with the mealy, gritty soft serve at sweettreats, just go directly to Boardwalk Snack and Ice Cream. I got mine dipped in chocolate. Loved it, especially after being disappointed at another establishment the night before.

Our friends got a cone and a cold mocha thing with whipped cream on top. The mocha thing tasted really good when I tried it. This place is batting 1,000 in my book.

The joint is kind of unassuming; it looks like standard sort of cheap tourist fare, and flashier places nearby might draw you away. Don't be fooled. Although this place has lower prices and is attached to an arcade, they deliver on quality and service....

Quite literally the worst shakes I’ve ever tried in my life. I ordered a peanut butter shake, and when it was handed to me, it was as white as a blank sheet of paper. No peanut butter flavor whatsoever, and it tasted like straight milk with a little bit of sweetener. My daughter got a coffee flavored shake that tasted like some sort of mixture of chocolate and vanilla. I tried hers, and it was still very watery - not the consistency of a milkshake. My husband got a caramel frappe, and it tasted like it had sea water in it - not exaggerating! The only thing we got that was halfway decent was the funnel cake. It cost us over $30 for three shakes and a funnel cake, and we ended up throwing it all away because it was so horrible. Don’t...

Go to the other arcade. This one will rip you off from the food to the prizes. Your going to pay a little premium on any boardwalk, but this place is bad. Half melted ice cream. Tried to serve me a burger with two slices of cheese and call it a double cheese burger. At their arcade, the games are either broken or don't pay out.
