I LOVE SUGAR (Myrtle Beach) — Attraction in Myrtle Beach

It's a great place with a great idea of having lots of candy and letting the consumer bag what they want at their place and then charging by the weight. It cost me almost $20 for chocolate covered peanuts, almonds, raisins and malt balls at the weight of 1pd exactly. I got prob a handful of each kind give or take a little less of certain kinds and maybe a lil more of others. I paid with a $100 bill and luckily I took the time to recount my change bc usually I make a mistake on my part and don't but I was shorted $20 and it was easily enough took care of right away, nontheless some candy that is prepackaged and sold by Disney or other name brands are very overpriced for my wallet and most others unless that's just what you choose to "splurge" on! Severe health risk! - I can understand the price even if I do not agree with them - they generally charge 6x as much as Walmart does for the same candy - but I can't agree with the practice if no scales to weigh what you might purchase. It is unethical to force people to pay an unknown amount for an unknown quantity. I've taken to filling bags partially and randomly leaving them around the store. Staff assures me they do not simply re-stock what was abandoned in store but I've seen them do it with mine and with little kids bags they were putting their hand in after wiping their nose due to the saltwater snot drip. If you got sick after going here, the staff's lie about restocking handled food is likely why. My mother had went with me and my 2 children. There was no handicap spaces but one that was usable and it was being occupied so I had to park a little over the line so she could use her walker easier.We were the only 2 cars in the parking lot. When I went in the manager told me I needed to go outside and try parking again and was incredibly rude. I knew it was just her trying to be mean because she was mopping and was 20 mins before closing and wanted us to leave. My kids were excited to go so I just went outside and reparked.
