Update 9/17/23 my husband & I went back and stayed here for a week & loved it again!

Let me start off this review by saying we my son and I traveled from Upstate NY to SC to visit family & take a small detour from family to visit Myrtle Beach during our Spring Break (April 7, 2023 through April 15, 2023). After reading hundreds of reviews for hotels on the Beach strip & being mortified at how many negatives there were, I was very worried about staying anywhere in Myrtle Beach.

I have two concerns when choosing a hotel: the first being the safety of their parking arrangements due to being a female alone with my son and the second being any mwntion of bed bugs. My wants for a hotel are to be affordable, on the beach, and close to attractions, so we wouldn't need to drive places and find/pay for parking. The rooms themselves do not need to be fancy or luxurious because I'm there to enjoy the beach, not sit in my room. This hotel did not disappoint &quite honestly, I am very impressed by the location, affordability, staff & accommodations. Check-in is at 4 pm, which is when my son and I arrived at the hotel. Upon our arrival, we went to the lobby to check in, where you could visibly see the two staff members behind the counter seemed stressed. When it was our turn to check in, the woman behind the counter was very sweet, but again, you could hear the stress in her voice. (This made me feel terrible for her because being stressed out while working is never good for an employees well being) I gave her my name and license and reservation. With a slight shakiness in her voice, she began to explain that because of Spring break, guests not checking out on time, and staffing shortage our room was not cleaned and ready for our arrival yet. This didn't upset me in any way because, again, I'm not there to sit in my room. I asked if this means I need to leave the property to find/pay for public parking until our room is ready? She responded with No, we will check you in, and you can park your car, & you can use all of our facilities (such as the pools, hit, and tiki bar) we will call you when your room is ready and give you your room keys.

Ok great! It was a long drive and we needed to use the restrooms; which to my surprise, they had bathrooms available that were not in the hotel rooms themselves, & it made me so happy. We finished the check-in process & got our parking pass. There are three parking lots for this hotel. The first is right at the hotel with maybe 10 spaces that are not reserved for checking-in and loading/unloading. The next one is direct across the street, well lit at night and a very easy access. The third is again across the next street over from the second one, which I did not see to give a review on. We were lucky enough to get a spot right at hotel and did not have to use the other lots across the street.

My son & I walked the strip, got dinner & did some shopping. About 2 hours after our arrival (6pm) the same woman who checked us in called me to say our room was ready. Upon opening the door, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean & nice our room was! The beds were made so nicely, the bathroom & kitchen area were pristine! Not a single evidence of any pests whatsoever!

The lady that checked us in called us over one of our times coming through the lobby & thanked us for being one of the only guests to not come back to yell, complain or give them a hard time about the room not being ready at exactly 4pm. They even gave us a small credit to our room to use at the tiki bar or the breakfast Cafe!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL & PLAN TO STAY HERE AGAIN!

One thing travelers need to know and understand is that in the south Palmetto bugs (in the North known as cockroaches) are common household pests, unlike in the north where they are a sign of filth. With that being said anytime anyone travels anywhere when you return home you should always leave your luggage outside for 24 hours, after which you unpack outside and immediately put everything into your dryer on the highest setting for at...

If you want the most honest review, I got you. Entrance- If you did it online you are fine, you say the name of the person you put it under, you pay the other half, show drivers license and for the adults, your ID. They give you your room keys, the waterproof brackets for the adults and if a child is like 12 and up they’ll get one too. They didn’t count for a baby so that’s a plus. But their is one thing, they do say it’s a first come first serve. You gotta make it early to get your room on the highest of what you want otherwise you get the lowest floor is what I got outa that. Room- The room were very nice and clean. Though 900 for a LOWRISE ocean front, and for 2 nights was kinda not really worth it but because it was a Friday through Sunday( Two nights ). Just make sure when using the website on THEIR page you look at accommodations and choose a tower. Though get vacations on the weekdays. The weekend prices go up by 100’s. Starting off with the entrance when you get in is very clean, the floors and clean but a lil dirty in the carpet I will say.

Bathroom- Clean shower, tub, towels. Everything was clean but the floor had a little sand but I barely noticed it til I got in there. They give you shampoo, lotion and conditioner with a body bar, hair dryer, a bunch of towels, paper towels, trash can obviously, and another bar in the shower.

Beds- I would recommend getting your own bedsheets. If you want extra pillows you gotta ask. You get 3 white pillows and a yellow small pillow. They seem clean but the white sheet was a lil dirty, the blue part of the bed, I think it was just for decor it did have a couple of feathers apparently and strands of hair.

Nights stands- Clean. Clean indeed. They have a Bible, a notepad, pen, the lamp( they turn on inside the lamp head cover, and alert clock and a phone for you to call on.

Tv and stand- If you want to put your clothes in the closet stand but something under like a paper towel because it did have stains in the drawer. The tv was working well but some glitches did occur so have patience. They have a lot channels which is good even telenova and some not all, Hispanic shows. I think there was over 100. They had some sort of recorder, I’m not so sure about what it was but it was mad dusty so allergies started hitting me. The controller was clean. Didn’t feel at all dusty or sticky or greasy.

Kitchen- They give you your basic supply’s for the kitchen. Stove, microwave, coffee machine and pot, sink, and they give you a cutting board that’s is plastic, silverware in a drawer, pots, pans, skillet, knives, bowls, plates, cups, mugs. You name it they got it. Just no scissors if your wondering. They give you dish soap and a towel with the cutting board. Seems all clean, and the microwave does have some really good power. If you’re used to 2:30 in for some popcorn it’s actually 2:00. And for a baby bottle. If it’s 15 seconds do 10 seconds.

Balcony and View. Careful. Because I saw people who didn’t get ocean views, our ocean view was good for a low rise. And saw the view perfectly. Just the sun was like more to the left and not in the middle. Balcony did have chairs and a tiny table.

Overall, it was a very good time for three days, which is two nights was a really good . Day 1 maid service they won’t come in and pick trash or towels. with you the very first day. The second day, they will. Praise Jesus that’s we got to get one with an oceanfront. I do have somewhat of a noise complaint. Since your on the lowest level you hear everything when it comes to stomps. Make sure to close your door shut and tightly. They also give you a do not disturb. Noise at night was a little loud when it came to the doors cause people just slammed it or the force of the door was very strong so it just shut on its own. Thank you for having us Holdiay Pavillion. We will definitely come again for...

This is my fourth and last stay. I was VERY, VERY, VERY disappointed due to NOT being informed anywhere on the website, in the MANY emails that I received, nor on the web that breakfast was no longer included with our stay. To say I was shocked is an understatement, in fact information on other booking sights that I used to check periodically for pricing changes, actually STILL show that breakfast IS INCLUDED. For a party of 9 people, this WAS a HUGE UNEXPECTED LOSS to my budget for our family vacation/honeymoon for one of my children & thus we had to alter activity plans due to ADDED expenses. No where on the hotel’s website is there any kind of notifications or disclaimers announcing this change. This was the main reason I accepted the prices to stay here vs another less expensive hotel on the boardwalk. The grounds, pool area & pool equipment was lacking from prior visits. Many of the inner tubes for the lazy River were barely inflated and left thrown about. On the 2nd night, 2 of our party, myself included slipped on the indoor pool step closest to the lazy River. Either the 2nd or 3rd pool step was sooo slippery from build up from ???? From the day, that upon stepping in the pool , my foot went sideways out from under me & I went down the steps sideways. One of my adult children said the same happened to him earlier, but he was able to catch himself with rail. I was not so fortunate, luckily I only scraped my ankle & experience slight swelling. The AC in room 134 is falling off the wall from screws, as the anchoring screws appear not able to support the weight of the unit & thus water leaked all over the floor, from the unit to the closest bed. We had to “prop it up” with a coffee cup to keep it level to keep it from leaking any more inside. (In case Hsk wondered why the coffee mug was on the floor under the ac).The young lady working the desk Monday evening at approximately 9pm, was phenomenal. She seriously needed another team member there as she was slammed with phone calls, customers request & check ins, but was handling it all like a pro. Your bartender was great . The “new website” for the hotel is always slow to load. After completing the online registration, I was promoted to opt in for “text me” notifications concerning my reservations, rooms, etc, however upon confirming my mobile number, I received text confirmation from “coral reef resort “ the sister property to which the customer service agent that answered the text had no ideal why I even received the text. I’m not sure if it’s new management or what , but the changes, lack of info re the changes for us repeat guest, the state of overall property upkeep or lack there of, leaves a lot to be desired. This is in no way a reflection on the employees as everyone we came in contact with were all very courteous & hardworking. I believe they need more staff to help with the volume of people for sure, this is a reflections of who runs the hotel. Sad to say, it is doubtful that we...

*Disclaimer* If it’s your first time coming to Myrtle Beach, this is a great place to start. This resort is a little bit older as far as decor, but very clean and smells great. especially if you have kids with you or teenagers . This way you don’t have to drive them anywhere. more places to walk to and hang out than you can count. Don’t forget Myrtle Beach is starting to promote resorts so they’re gonna eat a large portion of the cost if you book through the link on the video . #Ti#TikTokGoi#TikTokGoStayy#MyrtleBeachResorts
