Females... Do NOT!!
It’s OK, service was good, very respectful.. the people working there were trying their best and did very well.
They did not have enough bartenders to tend to everyone timely. Many people were waiting endlessly just to get one simple drink and the place was not that busy. They just opened and that is not a big deal, that would be on management more than anything.
The bigger deal breaker was the DANCE-FLOOR... It's a mirror dance floor meaning you look down and you see yourself, I cant not believe that it passed inspection. I don’t know who had the bright idea of making the dance floor a mirror or maybe it was there before?!! Who knows...For a performance type stage or a show that's okay but for the PUBLIC?!! especially if they want females to feel safe...it is most definitely not.
You can't wear a dress or a skirt and get on the dance floor. So, once people realized that, a lot did not want to get on the dance floor. Men didn’t wanna get on the dance floor because it was awkward, and women didn’t want get on the dance floor because a lot of them wore dresses and skirts. So, not many people were dancing and it was really awkward, Imagine a dance floor with maybe 4 to 9 people and the rest of the people are tirelessly waiting for their drink or afraid to join because ...well...
So, the majority stayed in their little corners and watched the few people who got on the dance floor. We laughed about it, we did dance but once some guys got on the dance floor it was really awkward and we sat down and watched how people "females" and some were getting on the dance floor looking down and realizing their private business is not so private and laugh then leave the dance floor... boy-friends would also see that and tell their girl and they would leave...we also left.
Bottom line, for females if you want to feel safe and have a good time dancing and chatting...this is a no!! If you are not into dancing then maybe its okay...But I would think the only "men" who would go back are not the type you would want to associate with if you know what I mean... Will not go back unless that is taken care of...I have no idea who thought it would be a good idea but … Sir,.....it’s NOT.
That is some perverted sick joke and I got no clue who would think it's okay. If they cant fix it, maybe they can have another dance floor in another area and this can be just a cool thing some people would try for a minute … I don't know.
If they fix that, I think the place can be decent. I will 100% remove this review if that is taken care of because I believe people need to know. And management or the owner can fix it before they lose more money and this turns into a different type of establishment. It maybe okay if they turn it into different type of club. But if they want women and men to go and have fun... Got to fix that
City of Myrtle!!! really though??? How and why … I don't understand how no one looked at that and said … that should not pass.. Maybe that is why we do not have one decent dance club or...
Read moreChecked out this new spot in Myrtle Beach with the light-up dance floor. Honestly, it was a mix of cool and weird. The floor lights up like a mirror, so you can literally see under yourself. As a woman, it felt pretty unsafe dancing there knowing anyone could just look under your dress. I can imagine it’s awkward for men too because someone could accuse them of looking even if they’re not. Definitely not the smartest design choice for a dance floor.
But I loved how big the place was, and the TVs on the walls showing the dance floor were really cool to watch.
Location-wise, it’s in the same building as a strip club, right next to it. You don’t have to go inside the strip club to get there, but it’s a smart partnership because after the club closed, a lot of people ended up going into the strip club even if they weren’t planning to. That made parking a bit harder since both places share the lot.
Considering it was their grand opening, they definitely didn’t plan enough bartenders. The wait for a drink was pretty long, and it took a while to close out your tab too.
Parking lot and bartender issues aren’t a deal breaker, but the dance floor is. If you’re not planning to dance or hope tipsy dancers won’t care about your under-skirt view, then you’ll...

First, loved the security at the door, and they were really nice and welcoming on top of doing a great job moving people through the door.
The music was on point from the transitions from song to song to the overall selection. My girlfriends and I had a tremendous time dancing.
It was also really cool to see music video play on the Television screens throughout. It just added to the vibe. You don't see that often and I know I enjoyed it.
The dance floor was the focal point, and it was so fun to be on. The change in lights and patterns was so fun! The DJ was set above the dance floor where we found ourselves making eye contact when a fan favorite would begin. I haven't danced that much in a long time.
and my last point... You can talk to your friends by the bar or at a VIP table and physically hear them talking but when you're on the dance floor, the music is loud (in the best possible way). Which is exactly how it should be and I cannot believe more nightclubs aren't like this. It's like the speakers are aiming at the dance floor. I love it! That is a detail that speaks volumes to how much thought was clearly put...
