Waffle House — Restaurant in Myrtle Beach

I'm going through a very rough time and I woke up very hungry late at night so I looked up what was open at 11:45 pm in Myrtle Beach and saw that Waffle House was. I haven't eaten Waffle House for a very long time but I chose to go get something to eat. I can not even express the courtesy and the feeling of being so welcomed by Bree and Yackle (yes, I giggled at his name as well) at this establishment. I have lived in this area for 20 years and have been in the service industry in the utmost expensive places but having visited this establishment tonight gave me not only the best breakfast food I've eaten(and I'm not a breakfast food person) but also all it took was the attitude, gratefulness, and pure respect that they gave regarding not only their jobs but the company itself. These 2 are exactly what every service industry restaurant need to succeed!!!! I apologize this is so long but I will never ever not give appreciation to deserving human beings! Thank you Bree and Yackle again for your outstanding work performance, wonderful food and phenomenal customer service. And no, I do NOT know either of these people but I believe in giving credit where credit is due....

We got there around midnight on a Saturday, they have 2 security guards outside the door that wouldn’t let you in till an employee came out to get you. That was a little off putting to start. ( not all do but it’s the area and not being far from the clubs on the weekend at that time I guess) We waited about 10 minutes outside. Finally someone came to let us in. Sat in a chair for about another 10 minutes to wait for a table to be cleaned( there were 3 that were empty but dirty) after we sat down a server came over took our food/drink order together, it was probably 20-30 minutes before we were given our drinks. We had to say something to get someone to bring them over and shortly after that we had our food. While we were eating cops came in to take someone out that appeared to be intoxicated on something. The food was good, but for all of that plus a bunch of other small things that just added up I would have rather just gone to a gas station and been happy with a bag of chips or something. One worker serving the customers at the bar top seemed like she had great customer service but the other servers all seemed like they didn’t want...

We're locals don't come in to often but normally when we do everything is great. Came in this morning to have breakfast while our car was getting worked on. A little busy that's understandable! Hostess opened up a creamer to put in her drink with her teeth & mouth then continued on with her work without washing her hands that were in her mouth. A short while later sweeping floor around customers eating & missed trash still on floor! Waitress was ok but service could of been better. Wife ordered a grit bowl added bacon to it they just threw a couple strips of bacon on top & served it. Also found mushroom in the bowl (Thank God not allergic to them!) Cups got completely empty before being asked if we wanted refills by this time we're done eating! Never asked how was everything,how's the food? Asked for burnt hash browns,they weren't well done.
