Arrived on a Sunday (party of three) with only two other tables seated. Atmosphere is decent but the metal orange chairs were uncomfortable. The parking lot was empty so there was no issue with parking, but on a busy day I could see how it could be a challenge. We were greeted promptly, but service was extremely slow. We had to ask for silverware, napkins and plates (wooden) not quite appealing. Our server made it a point to ensure us that our food items we ordered would come out as we requested, but that never happened. She took our order for appetizers and drinks. We ordered 2 appetizers, the "Tasty Plate" $18 and "Fried Corn Ribs" $13. We requested the Tasty Plate be cooked well, it came out mushy and under cooked. The Fried Corn Ribs never came out until after we received our main entrees. The Corn Ribs were also soft and mushy. The apps took way too long to come out (understand at this time there was only one other table seated). We ordered two burgers, the WR Burger $15 and the Street Burger $17. The presentation looked good, and the fries were tasty, but that was about it. The Street Burger was ordered medium rare but came out well done (charred) with no fat and could not even break apart (see attached pictures) the fried egg was overcooked. After a few bites the sandwich was left on the table. If they are going to be known for their burgers they need to focus on the meat, and not just the toppings. The server apologized for the delay in serving the food and it's quality and stated there were issues with the cook. Two hours for dinner at this place was way too long on an empty night. The server did not go out of her way to address our issues, but was quick to hand us our bill of $97.73 which she automatically added a tip onto. Apparently this is the restaurants policy on all checks. Where is this disclosed? We didn't see it anywhere. They need to rethink this without the excuse of we are tired of the lack of tipping by customers. They also add a credit card charge, if used, which is now becoming routine in the SC area despite the fact that SC's legal code, Chapter 1, Title 39, Section 39-1-100 states, "No seller in any sales, service, or lease transaction with a consumer may impose a surcharge on a cardholder who elects to use a credit card in lieu of payment by cash, check, or similar means." Prior to leaving we meet with the manager "Ang" who understood and apologized without making excuses, listening to our experience and in the end did right by us as the guest and the business. As current and past restaurant workers and owners we offer this honest feedback because we care and want to see local businesses make corrections and thrive. The atmosphere is fresh, funky and has much potential, but focus on the basics, food and service, the funkiness will only go so far if the basics can not be met consistently and reliably. Good luck, As locals we are looking forward to returning and a much better experience in the future.

Where do I start? Let's start with the good. Atmosphere is amazing. They did a good job and the vibe feels fun and inviting. Lots of TVs so I can see coming here to watch games. Also the drinks were very good. Now the bad. Parking is horrible. We went at 7p on a Sunday. They weren't very busy but we still had to park in the back the restaurant. (Not ideal) We struggled to communicate with our first server and then eventually got a different server. He took our order for apps and drinks. Drinks took a while to come out. Appetizers took 30+ minutes to come out, which is absolutely way too long for apps. Then we placed food orders. The appetizer was not good and very greasy. They didn't initially provide plates for the Appetizers nor Napkins until we asked. We ran out of water and they don't do a good job refilling. When the food eventually came out, it looked decent but only one of the three dishes tasted good. The Chicken plate entree was good. The Spicy Chicken sandwich was horrible and way over cooked. The burger did not have any special flavors. The waiter was telling everyone, including us that he was sorry for delays in food, but that they were having issues with their computers sending orders to the back. I really wanted to love this place. It has so much potential. They 100% need to invest in hiring the right people and training them better. The bartenders looked like they were doing a good job with the patrons sitting at the bar, so that may be a way to go, but for me, I will never return. 2 hours for dinner at this place was way too long. To top things off, they offer local discounts but mentioned it's only on Tuesdays (even though thier signage talking about the discount doesn't mention Tuesdays only. Also, they added an 18% automatic gratuity to our bill. Where is this disclosed? We didn't see it anywhere, and even the waiter seems embarrassed by it. This is a problem and if they don't fix some of the things I mentioned here, they won't be in business long.

Strange experience here tonight.. we had a group of 9 come in at like 7:10, and there was one other 4 top in the whole restaurant. Waited 15 minutes for the server to greet us and bring out waters. Waited another 20 minutes for her to decide to take our drink orders. After waiting on the cocktails we ordered for 20 more minutes, the bartender Jack came to our table telling us that he hated our server because she sucks, and asked us what drinks we ordered because she either didn’t ring them in right, or didn’t ring them in at all. It was very difficult communicating with our server because she didn’t seem to speak English very well at all. Another server came to help her eventually, because she didn’t understand basically anything we were asking her for. Waited over 30 minutes for apps to come out. Before receiving apps, we decided to cut the visit short and get dinner elsewhere because of how long everything was taking. From sitting down, to receiving our apps, it took 50 minutes to an hour. There’s no reason that it should take that long for apps to hit the table when the restaurant was genuinely empty. Later, Jack had to come back and get another drink order from us because the server messed it up again, and told us if we needed to order any drinks other than water we needed to just come straight to him at the bar to order. Charcuterie was pretty basic and not worth the price that it was. Pretzel wasn’t warm at all, and the cheese sauce was similar to nacho cheese you’d get with your movie theater nachos. Carpaccio was the best thing we tried, and it was mediocre. The restaurant is absolutely stunning inside, which is why our experience was such a huge letdown. I really hope the staff can come together as a team to learn how to work in this new restaurant, otherwise it will surely fail.

(Tuesday, 14th May- reservation for 9:30 PM)

For my first visit, it’s sad that I have to write such review but it was definitely an eye opener. I was super excited to try out the spot because I heard it was new. Upon entering, the place was pretty much dead at the time with only about 4/5 people in there. My friends and I had gotten a table for 4. We got introduced by our waiter Erin, who took care of our orders for the night. I won’t lie, she was cool and had a welcoming smile. So thank you for making us feel welcome at the time. Prior to that I had gone to the bar and I ordered A drink, Fast forward, we were ready to order. I ordered my meal which was ribs, fries and coleslaw. And my friends ordered their separate dishes. Erin brings out our food and the first thing I could smell was the coleslaw on my plate. It was spoiled. When I realize that it was I called her back and I said I did not want it anymore. She suggested that she’d bring me an extra plate to remove the coleslaw on there. Next I tried maybe like 2 fries from the plate they were hard. At this point Im thrown off completely because everything was already going wrong. I had no desire to eat the food or even bringing it home with me. Fast forward, everyone finished eating, Erin brings us the bill, I said so since I did not eat the food or plan on taking it home do I still have to pay for it?? She said give her a second she’s going back to the kitchen to ask a question. She then comes back and she says yes I still have to pay for the whole meal. Firstly, when serving food especially salads/ especially coleslaw you don’t ever put it together with the rest of the sides it should be in a separate bowl. Everything was already contaminated due to the fact that it was spoiled! So why did I have to pay for it if I did not eat it???!! From the jump when I asked to remove the coleslaw there were suppose to be another suggestion or at least ask me if I wanted to replace it, or offer me a complementary dish, or at least remove from the bill. There was no apology issues either. On top of that I woke up next day feeling sick because I did taste the coleslaw just a lil bit. I don’t normally leave reviews like this and I always recommend others to try out places that I’ve been to once I experience great customer service etc. but I would not because this left a bad taste in my mouth. To be honest, my friends didn’t even really enjoy their meal as well. One of my friends asked for well done stake and there was still blood coming from it..I can’t make this up!! Maybe it’s because we were black I wasn’t offered something else or you guys just really need to do better. I am a business owner by the way, so I’m really big on customer service and making sure they feel important, heard and satisfied! But it’s defitnely a BIG NO for me. Zero Stars & would not recommend anyone to go there! I wouldn’t suggest going to a place and the food is trash but thank you! It was a lesson...
