Very comfortable and friendly vibe at this sports pub. We arrived for a late lunch (when other nearby restaurants had already closed) and enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere at this great place. The food was not inexpensive ( meals for four and two drinks were about $100), but definitely worth the price, I'd definitely return for another meal here. One of the great bonuses was our super friendly waiter who took time to chat with us about Nantucket and answered all our menu questions. Also he checked on us repeatedly during our meal and made sure we had no unmet needs. The staff had no problems with our special orders and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the multiple options for watching sports (one large screen projection and several large TVs), as the World Cup was on while we ate. This is a great place for groups and families, although it was loud, it was still easy to hold a conversation. The restrooms were clean and well kept up. There is a separate bar area where you can just have drinks if you don't want to...
Read moreIf you are looking for good food and poor service, this is your place. The staff was busy, but unnecessarily rude. The wait after being seated was among the worst we have experienced. We split our hungry party of 6 into 2 equal groups at adjacent tables with different servers. 90+ minutes later, group 2 finally received their meals as group 1 finished lunch and paid their bill. The wait was so long that group 2 had to ask for to-go boxes in order to catch the afternoon ferry. We spoke to a manger about comping a portion of the bill due to the excessive wait and inconvenience, and she was very rude about it. She did comp the meals — after she blamed the long 90+ minute wait on the guest ordering a well-done burger. If you want to enjoy your Nantucket experience, look elsewhere to dine or plan for takeout. The food was great, but I can’t recommend dine-in to the...
Read moreA cheerful tourist place, for a quick drink, with a nice bartender lady, who did not wear a mask, was busy serving more than 25-30 people all by herself.
The food was not impressive. They were not simply the restaurant quality.
1/5 The R&C Fish Sandwich $16.99 came with No Tomato, with No Tartar, but a fresh Fried Fish, sadly glued to the White Toast Bread in cheese. The pungent cheese was the main taste. The fries that came with it had odd texture and taste, too as if it was cooked in a stale oil.
3/5 Lobster BLT $36.99 was adequate, but, the bacon was too salty, and its texture and flavor too strong, and it overshadowed the fresh lobster meat. Lobster and Bacon are simply not the good match. The price was a little steep for the general setting, lame plate presentation, or cooking skill.
I think this is more of a drinking place, and, we won't come for a...
