The website said open until 8pm. We walked in at 5:45ā¦The older lady, with platinum hair, that works there, or owns it, or manages it (idk?) was arguing with another customer when my family entered to shop. We wanted Nantucket hoodies and were planning to buy 6 to take home to family. I was looking at kidsā shirts (for my 2 children who were in the store with me), in which she repeatedly paused her argument with the other customer to tell me that those were kid sizes. I repeatedly said yes, thank you. She then barked orders at the young girl who was working to come help me. Her exact words were: āI donāt think she knows what sheās looking for. Please help her.ā š I told the girl I was looking through the shirts to find an XS bc I only saw one (and I have twins). The older lady turned around, once again, to interrupt AFTER she sent the girl over to help me?!?! She said: All of our sizes are out. If you donāt see the size you need, we donāt have it. The young girl said: I will go look in the back for you. Just wait right hereā¦and she walked to the back. The lady turned to me and said: If you canāt find a size, we donāt have it. I said: Okay thanks! My sister was looking at the hoodies and had 5 in her hand. When I walked over to her, the lady followed me and said: The discount bin is right here, if youāre still looking for something. Why would you say that to a customer who is about to spend around or over $500 in your store? My sister was looking for a size large in the last hoodie, and the lady raised her voice at her and said: No need to look at anything folded. All of our sizes are hanging up. My sister said: I didnāt see a large. Do you have a large in this hoodie? The lady said: Maāam, if you didnāt see it, we donāt have it. My sister said: Oh, okay. As we were counting the shirts to make sure that we had everyone a shirt or hoodie, the lady looked at us (with 2 other customers in the store), and said: You guys need to hurry up, Iāve got somewhere to be! That was the last straw for me. I just handed her all of the merchandise and said: Oh okay. Well, nevermind then. Her mouth dropped open and she said: Well, Iāve had a long day! Wellā¦you are also running a business, and the customer should come firstā¦and my day had not been easy either!!! I told her that she had rushed us since we walked in the store and was extremely rude to both of us. She never apologized. We walked out and she shut the door and turned the lights off. We passed back by the store about 30-45 minutes later and saw someone insideā¦So, I called the store and the same lady answered the phone!?!? I just donāt understand how this place is in business, if she treats all of her customers as poorly as we were treatedā¦and also, the hoodies are $60 eachā¦so Iām assuming that a $400-$500 transaction means nothing to her as well? If she doesnāt own this business, I hope the owners read this to see how their employees are treating customers. It was very disappointing, especially being on vacation and spending so much money to visit...

I walked into Nantucket Clothing Company just looking for a sweatshirtāand left with a full bag and an even fuller heart! The selection is fantastic: soft, high-quality clothing with fun island-inspired designs that perfectly capture Nantucket's aura. But what truly made the experience unforgettable was the lovely sales associate who helped me. Not only was she strikingly beautiful, but she had a warm, welcoming energy that made the whole visit feel like chatting with an old friend. Ansley McKechnie had an eye for style, helping me pick out just THE sweatshirt. Iāve never had so much fun! Canāt wait to come back tomorrow!!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI purchased an $80 sweatshirt for my boyfriend who was not with me. My friends told me it was way too feminine. I went to return it the next day only to find out the owner told me āstore credit only.ā I was pretty upset bc I couldnāt find a thing in her store I liked. I complained to her and at one point, she got extremely agitated with me. She went to the cash drawer, pulled out $80 in cash, threw it at me and told me to āGET OUT OF HER STORE.ā I will let you decide if that is someone you want to do business with. I have never in my life, experienced...
