UPDATE 3/16/25: TLDR: DON'T ORDER FROM HERE! If I could give zero stars, I would. I tried to order online but their system does not work anymore so I called to order. Here's why I'd like to give zero stars-- my order took double the time they told me it would to get here, I didn't get what I ordered, I was charged for things I didn't order, one of my items had mold on it, one of them was expired, & I found out that they are charging a mandatory tip for the drivers (which I would have given anyway). Plus, I was told that the coupon online for that location doesn't work anymore and I had to order a larger pizza to use a different coupon for more money. Tho clearly the coupon codes are both online for the store still! Then, when I asked what the point of the "rewards" is or what I get for them, I was told all about the owner's divorce and that the place is closing up permanently as part of the divorce, so the rewards aren't for anything! When my order came & I saw the mold immediately & the the food as well as my wrong order & over charge, I called to talk to anyone in charge. I was told that they were closing soon and no one was in charge so I should call back tomorrow! This was two hours before they were supposed to close!!! I spent a lot of money on food that I'm throwing out bc who the heck knows what's good or bad if they are sending me food with mold & expired items!! Very very very upsetting end to the week & gigantic waste of money!!!
This was from 3/14/25 I love their pizza & other dishes I've gotten from here! However, I called on a Friday night 5 hours before they were supposed to close -- during their posted business hours & no one ever picked up and said hello. It was just ringing & then someone would pick up & put on hold multiple times for 25 minutes before I hung up and called back again. The same thing happened again which is extremely annoying! I understand that Friday nights are busy, but to not even pick up ever & say "hello can you please hold" or anything at all is kind of ridiculous. After holding for a total of 40 minutes between two calls, they lost my business tonight. Also I did try to order online first but their online system doesn't accept any of...
Read moreI’ve been a regular Rosati’s customer for years, ordering at least twice a month, but this experience was by far the worst.
I placed an order for two thin crust pizzas and a coupon deal (pizza, wings, and a liter of soda for $39.99). The pizzas arrived 1.5 hours later (after being told it would be under an hour) and were thick crust, uncut instead of the standard thin crust I’ve always received.
The wings were another disaster. I requested bone-in (which the lady said she’d honor as a favor) and they arrived half-cooked, gooey, and literally swimming in Italian dressing. When I called to clarify, I was told that “Italian dressing” is their garlic Parmesan sauce – which is a stretch at best.
When I asked to speak to a manager (I believe her name was Sarah), she immediately got defensive. Instead of listening, she blamed me, saying Rosati’s has over 10 crust types and that I should have been “specific” about wanting traditional thin crust. I’m sorry, but when someone says “thin crust” at Rosati’s, that’s always been square-cut, traditional thin – not thick pan pizza.
Her “solution”? To note my account. No apology, no accountability – just an attitude. When I brought up the wings being undercooked, she snapped back that I was “complaining after she did me a favor” by honoring the coupon.
To top it off, she started the call by claiming this was my “first order” despite the fact that she greeted me by name when I placed it and I order regularly.
For the record: I wasn’t looking for a freebie. I tipped nearly half the bill upfront because I appreciate good service. What I expected was accountability and basic customer service, and I got neither.
After this experience, I checked their online reviews – and sure enough, they rarely go above 2 stars. Now I understand why. If this is the “management” representing Rosati’s,...
Read moreLast night I ordered a small sausage and mushroom pizza from the Naperville store. Rosati's used to be my favorite pizza, well last night totally has changed my mind. I asked the gentleman who answered the phone to make sure that the pizza is well done. I emphasized that .He assured me that itwould be well done and be delivered in about 46 minutes to an hour. Well in about a half hour the door bell rings and he's there with my pizza. Right away I said to myself that I'll bet it's not well done. And i was right. Not only was it not well done, it wasn't even cooked enough. The dough was like I was eating chalk. The sauce they used was terrible. I should of looked and send it back right away. I don't know what's going on there, but this was the worst pizza I ever had. Obviously the way they used to make pizzas has changed so I'll try and find another place. I had half of one piece. It's too bad that a restaurant that used to make terrific pizza has decided to cut some corners. Before writing this I started reading the reviews, which I should of done before. Obviously I'm not the only one with this problem.
Well Mr. Owner I can assure you there won't be a next time. What amazes me is obviously you're having problems at your store. Just read all the negative reviews. I see where you replied to many of them, but of all the negative reviews, I never saw one, not one where you offered another pizza on the house or even refund the money people have spent at your store. So I'll just wait until you have no more business and a new owner takes over because you haven't learned the meaning of...
