This place understands vegans, and won’t let us go hungry with proteinless food. I called ahead to make sure my order can be done vegan and gluten-free. The man on the phone was friendly and informative. He instructed me to just make a note in the memo if ordering online. I ordered a vegan Veggie Burrito and the Green Monster, which is a smoothie. The Green Monster was a delicious way to get my daily greens and good choice because I was on the go. It was very banana-y and nutty. The Veggie Burrito impressed me even more it. It smelled slightly sweet, and when I took it out of the bag, it was bigger than my forearm. My first bite was super flavorsome without being too spicy for me. There were huge, hearty chunks of tofu, making it protein-packed. Even only eating half, I knew I was not going to be hungry 20 minutes later like with the “vegan” menu items at other establishments - nothing wimpy about the Veggie Burrito. The other chunky contents of the burrito made the burrito far less messy to eat than any other burrito I have had. Well wrapped, no finely diced, textureless mush here! Any vegan knows vegan cheese can taste like plastic and can refuse to melt. I am curious what brand they use because it was better than any other I have tried. It was flavorful and it melted beautifully. I regret not checking out this place sooner. I recommend this place and will be back to try more. I wish they had more locations, and I wish every restaurant had...
Read morePressed Cafe is like the hotter, younger sister of Bridge Cafe. I did some digging and found that the old owner of Bridge Cafe opened up this schwanky joint in Nashua and revamped the menu. I live in Manchester (home of The Bridge Cafe) but work in Nashua (home of Pressed Cafe) - both have very similar menus but Pressed Cafe definitely wins in that area with a slightly expanded menu and better tasting food.
It's rare that a drive-thru only place offers up healthy eats so I love the convenience of this location just for that. Salads, paninis, smoothies, juice, coffee, oh my! You order and pay online and just drive by to pick up your order...or you can order at the drive-thru window and it takes not even 5 minutes. The first time I came here I tried the "Oven Roasted Turkey" panini. It was okay. Every component of the sandwich was good but there just wasn't enough of their house-made sun-dried tomato basil mayo so I thought the overall sandwich wasn't flavorful enough due to insufficient mayo. Y'all afraid of running out or something? Second time I came here I learned my lesson...I ordered "The Pressed" panini and made sure to ask for EXTRA pesto. The sandwich was delicious! Loved the combo of basil mayo with the pesto spread. Each bite of grilled chicken was surprisingly on point - not a dry piece in sight. Solid sandwich. If it wasn't on the pricier side I'd probably take all my lunch...
Read moreNot the most excited about this place. Visiting Merrimack from the West coast on a work trip. To be such a specialized place with so many menu options, the concept of drive-thru only doesn't seem like the best idea to me. It proved to not be the best idea.
Ordered a 16oz oatmilk latte(hot). It came out really really hot. My tastebuds aren't happy about that one. I am fairly certain I was given a bit of hot coffee with steamed oat milk poured in a cup versus an espresso with steamed milk. Probably wrong, but that is what it tasted like.
I then ordered a smoothie. Every smoothie is $8.50 on the menu. I took off half the items in the smoothie(literally) and then added protein powder. I asked for a price breakdown when I got to the window, but still not quite sure how the smoothie got to $15+ from $8.50. In their defense, I did ask for 2 scoops of protein powder($2 a scoop), but apparently using oat milk instead of almond milk is $1 extra.
Who knows.
Latte wasn't fun to drink. Smoothie wasn't worth near $15. Communication breakdown in my opinion due to...
