Heard about this place from Instagram and I was not disappointed. This place is amazing! The food is delicious, and the service is top-notch! I’ve only been a few times but every time has been perfect! This is my new favorite Korean spot in Nashville. It’s a hidden gem underneath the Skyhouse and just around the corner from Patterson. There’s also a PARKING LOT literally right next to their building which you know is a MUST!!!
For food I got the LA Galbi? It’s some sort of beef short rib dish and ITS AMAZING. Literally get it every single time. I also love the seafood pancake and the Kimchi Arancini (Deep fried kimchi Mozzarella stuffed rice ball). They also bring out an assortment of banchan before your meal and they’re so cuteee! It’s just free snacks before you eat or with your food.
The service is also amazing Onda seems to have a really amazing team on their hands! Superb! Everyone seems really sweet and helpful. The owner Austin seems to treat his employees very well. Happy staff happy customers!!
The restaurant itself is also very well put together and clean. Atmosphere and vibes are very chill and calm. It’s not insanely loud and noisy which is very beautiful. No annoyingly loud music or anything which for me is great.
Overheard they also have a brand new redone menu with new things added and also new cocktails! Their drinks are to die for. Whoever is coming up with them needs a raise! I had the Violet Sky and it’s amazing. Smooth, creamy and floral!! The server I had mentioned the Melon Killer and omg it really is killer. I love a good melon drink and it’s super cute!!
For a brand new restaurant they’ve done an exceptional job overall. 5...
Read moreI feel like this review is needed to outweigh all the positive reviews. Also want to be fair and say that I went back in February and now reviewing this place in July.
Went here for a friend’s birthday and was utterly disappointed. My friend loves trying authentic Asian cuisine so when someone recommended this place to her she was filled with joy. But upon every bite she took of her food, I watched that joy fade away.
Nothing about this place was good. Food was horrible, service was okay and the ambience was nothing to brag about.
We went on a Sunday at 5 pm and were a party of 5.
Let’s talk ambience: it looks like they just purchased the place from a previous restaurant & I’m guessing the former restaurant was a bar n grill based on the set up. I wanna be fair and understand that places may want to save money before renovating but you advertise yourself as authentic and the ambiance alone scream a graveyard from an American bar n grill.
Let’s talk service: our waitress just had an attitude. Just to ask for a coke or what’s good here just seemed like a huge inconvenience. I understand we all have bad days but fake it til you make it. We were also like the first dinner reservation so it wasn’t like she was busy yet.
Let’s talk about food: not pictured here is the Korean fried chicken we had order. Horrible. It’s like they gave us the leftover chicken from lunch. Not hot, and not fresh tasting. The beef was good in flavor but again lukewarm! Also, the portion sizes just were not enough for what we are paying.
All in all, stay away from this place. Spend your money elsewhere or be ready to buy yourself...
Read moreThere was a clear lack of professionalism and communication skills during my visit. I ordered four dishes in total. Three of them arrived within 10 minutes, but the fourth dish (bulgogi udon) took over 30 minutes. I checked with the server multiple times, but all she said was that the dish was still being prepared. By the time it finally came out, the rest of us had already finished eating.
After the meal, I ordered a bingsu. The server apologized for the delay and told me she would take care of it, implying it would be complimentary. I appreciated her effort and felt better knowing she recognized my frustration. However, when the bill arrived, the bingsu was still charged. When I asked about it, she first claimed she never said it would be complimentary, then later said she meant she would personally make it so I wouldn’t have to wait again. She spoke with the manager and came back to tell me they could not remove it from the bill.
At that point, I didn’t want to argue anymore — I just wanted to leave after spending 1.5 hours at the restaurant. From the moment the compensation was discussed until we left, I felt very uncomfortable. The staff kept looking at my family and making faces as if we were in the wrong. While the server was kind, she really needs to improve her English and communication skills. I also wish the manager had taken the time to come and speak to me directly, rather than sending the server back to handle an unhappy customer alone. Sorry for the bad review but I felt the need to share my...
