I want to start by saying that the hotel itself is lovely and the staff was helpful and kind. The breakfast is also fantastic.
But this is the second time I’ve stayed at a Home2Suites and the accounting department has attempted to charge me multiple times for one stay. The most recent instance was at this location in mid-November. I paid for the hotel in full-and the desk confirmed this when I paid-only to see a repeat charge nearly a week after we’d checked out. I provided my Chase statement showing the $821.56 had indeed been debited from my account by Home2Suites. I was assured by Jasmine Green that it was a mistake by their accounting department and she was so sorry for the inconvenience. Today, I received a text from our team manager (my son plays travel hockey and we’d stayed at Home2Suites as part of the “stay to play” policy requiring us to stay at only certain hotels for reduced pricing in conjunction with the tournament organization). She said Home2Suites was saying the payment did not go through, and soon after this text, Chase alerted me that Home2Suites was attempting to charge me the $821.57 once again. Chase recognized it as a repeat payment attempted nearly a month after the stay and flagged it. I contacted my Chase representative who assured me that Home2Suites indeed received payment and they denied the second charge, providing me with an email stating they’d been paid on November 18, 2023. I’m currently solo parenting our four children while my husband is gone long-term, and I’m also a school teacher. While $800-something dollars may not be much to some, it’s more than half of one of my bi-monthly paychecks. I’m thankful my bank realized that I had already been charged the hotel stay once and didn’t allow the second charge to go through, or I would be about $600 in the red without any money coming in until my 12/31 paycheck.
I’m a huge Hilton fan and we’ve never had this issue with any other Hilton property, only Home2Suites. The first time they tried to charge me continually was in 2018 when we were in Tallahassee visiting my husband. And it’s as if they’ve got a script because they said the exact same thing they’ve repeated this time: the payment didn’t go through, and I provided them the same evidence I’ve provided these folks.
Luckily, my husband’s family has two attorneys, one of which does contract law and is currently in-house counsel for a large medical tech firm. So if you choose to stay at a Home2Suites, please make sure you save your banking statements...
Read moreMy husband, parents, and sister all booked three rooms at the Home2 Suites on Division Street in Nashville, and I can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, every staff member I encountered went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, welcoming, and memorable. A big thank you to all the wonderful front desk team members——each of whom helped in one way or another during our stay. I want to especially recognize the gal who checked us in (I didn’t catch her name), but she greeted me with a warm smile and genuine hospitality. She made the check-in process smooth and efficient, offered fantastic local recommendations, and ensured our room reservation was correct. Her professionalism and kindness truly set the tone for the rest of our stay. Before our arrival, I had the pleasure of speaking with Trey over the phone regarding our reservation—I wasn’t aware it had been made through a third party. He was friendly, professional, and very helpful. I truly appreciated that he took the time to confirm our details, didn’t rush the conversation, and ensured everything was in order. Great customer service from the start! Housekeeping was outstanding. Parking attendants were very friendly!! At check-in, I was informed that rooms are cleaned every three days, which I appreciated—many hotels don’t take the time to explain that upfront. Our room was pristine upon arrival and just as spotless on cleaning day. I especially appreciated the hotel’s thoughtful gesture of providing earplugs, a sound machine, and two bottled waters due to nearby construction. We didn’t end up needing them, but the proactive communication and accommodation were impressive! Mornings at Home2 Suites were a delight! The breakfast area was clean, well-stocked, and offered a great variety. The staff were attentive, friendly, and quick to address anything that ran out—like the orange juice, which they promptly refilled. A great way to start each day! I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. It’s clean, well-located, and staffed by genuinely kind and attentive people who clearly care about their guests’ experience. Thank you to everyone at Home2 Suites on Division Street for making our family stay so enjoyable. I absolutely recommend this location to anyone visiting...
Read moreI don't typically post bad reviews. I'm hoping some of the issues were just my experience and not typical of this location. Some of my issues aren't necessarily the hotel's fault, but many were. The area this is located is very run down.
Note I just stayed at a Home 2 Suites in Louisville the previous night and it was a great experience.
I picked this location for value, but it actually cost me much more than if I had stayed at another location.
Upon arrival there was a sign for valet parking $36 per day and no option for self parking. I wasn't told this when I booked. The attendant told my to give if $20 and he would give me the code (see photo) and that way I wouldn't pay the $36 per day for valet. I did this - parked myself and at the end was still charged the $36 per night.
This was supposed to be a two queen bed suite. It was really a regular hotel room with two full beds and no couch/sitting area. The hotel was in a little bit of disrepair (see photos). Rooms were fairly clean for the most part. Breakfast was limited to just a couple options waffle and English muffin. We chose not to eat - this adding more cost to my trip.
Upon arrival we were greeted by the people at the desk who acknowledged my HH status and gave each of us a water bottle and told us to get a snack. We (all three) picked out a snack and proceeded to our room. The desk clerk then scolded us saying one snack per room. Embarrassing! We were simply following the instructions you gave. If you are each given a water and told to get a snack, one would have assumed you mean each get a snack. Either way it was a bad way to deal with a HH customer, but I'm guessing they don't care. Bad taste in my mouth over $2 of snacks especially after getting the $36 per night surprise.
The hotel is within walking distance of the strip, however, construction makes the navigation difficult.
My summary is that this was a disappointing stay. The garage is shared by a Garden Inn which would have been a much better option in hindsight. There are other Hilton close by. I would suggest those instead.
Photos front and back of parking slip, wallpaper peeling in room, shower handle about to fall off, defect in floor of shower, dirt on top of refrigerator (to be fair I'm tall and most won't see this, exit sign by my room hanging on by...
