Cool hotel and great location, but that was about it. I rarely write reviews, but this was a bad experience. This is the hospitality industry and this hotel gets zero stars for their hospitality. It started with checkin. We were coming in from out of town and arriving a few minutes before checkin so we called to see if we could checkin early. "Donna" informed us that she had no record of our reservation. We booked through a third party website and had already paid in full for the hotel room. Donna told us that we were SOL and was unwilling to reach-out to the third party site to help. She informed us that we would either have to book a new reservation with her or call the third party ourselves and get it resolved. She even got snippy when we asked if she would be able to help us. I've never heard a hotel employee take the tone that she took with us. Very off-putting. We called the third party and got it all sorted out. After a 4 hour drive, not really the checkin process that we were looking for. While staying at the hotel, on two separate occasions we had a cleaning lady knock on our door after 10pm and ask if we would like for our room to be cleaned. Really weird... After our stay, we noticed that the hotel went ahead and charged us a 2nd time for our stay. They drafted over a thousand dollars out of our account, even though we had already prepaid for the hotel room. In fact, they charged us more the second time than what we paid upfront. They attempted to charge us $200 for alcohol, but we don't drink so it was just suspect at best. When we called to correct the issue, we were met with similar attitude to our checkin. Unwilling to help, unprofessional and super rude. Blows my mind that a hotel would be willing to employ such unqualified people when it comes to professional decorum and customer service. A week later, we still had not been refunded so we called back again and instead of being solution oriented we were met with defensiveness and combative rhetoric. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and I can say that this hotel has the worst staff that I have ever...
ย ย ย Read moreI had a terrible experience with the Hutton Hotel. If I could provide a zero star I would. For starter, I paid for my stay back in Feb for two nights in April. When I arrived, the front desk tells me they could not find my name as well as my reservation code. I was then informed that the hotel was fully booked for the weekend where they would need to find another hotel. I wanted to stay where I paid a good amount of money . I was then informed that the manager will come out to see what next steps would be. I sent over the confirmation email to two front desk reps as well as the hotel manager. The manager informs me they have called out to over 9 hotels within 10 mins to see if there was any availability and was told that the other hotels were fully booked as well. Then the hotel manager states that there is a room available out of no where and that he was going to tell other guest to leave( which is very unprofessional). As I was checking in, I was then informed that I would need to pay for incidental fees of $100 per night which was not stated on the site when I paid and on top of the manger did not accommodate me for the incidentals as well as parking. I received a coupon for a continental breakfast which felt like a slap in the face due to their mistake on their end. As, I get settled in the room, I notice that the a/c made alot of noises as well as noticing that the housekeepers did not even bother to vacuum the floor due to finding a contact len on the floor. I decided to check out the next day due to the disappoint of the whole experience. I informed the new front desk rep of the situation and wanted the hotel manager to reach out to me in regards to getting refunded for only staying one night due to traveling hours to get there. I have not heard from the manager since Saturday April 20th. I recommend looking at all the reviews on this place as well as looking at the better business bureau rating. If I would have did all of this before hand, I would have not stayed here...
ย ย ย Read moreThe Hutton hotel is a 3-star hotel disguised as a 4-star hotel. Itโs a classy, intimate feel upon walking in, but once when checking in, youโre greeted by hosts who seem unmotivated, unenthusiastic and lazy. Every worker seemed to have the โI donโt want to be hereโ attitude. The lounge is quiet and nicely decorated with relaxing live music playing during the day, which was truly the highlight of the hotel. However, there is currently no restaurant in the hotel, and the bar is very small and is not open late. Also, the room was smaller than we anticipated for a 4-star hotel. The bathroom door was pretty janky and did not properly close or lock but the nice shower made up for it. The maids were decent when they cleaned the room, but did entirely forget to provide service on our second day. They knocked on the door, and we said we were leaving in 15 min for a meal, and they said they could come back, and they never came back. In addition, we found bugs in our room and the maids did not change the sheets, even when extremely noticeable stains were present. They simply flipped over all the pillows and sheets, to try to hide the stains and their laziness. Also, upon leaving our luggage stored for the day prior to our evening flight, the front desk provided the wrong luggage to us, which could have been a disastrous issue for us and the guests luggage, we received in error. Another example of the laziness of the staff โ providing wrong luggage to different guests and not properly checking the tags. If you are looking for 3.5 or 4 star or above customer service, the Hutton Hotel is not the place for you. With many options to choose from in Nashville, within the same price budget, we would have chosen differently based on our mediocre stay and subpar customer service. The Hutton Hotel is by no means a true...
