My spouse Michele and I are just back from a fantastic 4 day trip to Nashville. Nashville - amazing! We just wanted to take a moment and say thank you to RCA Studio B for an extremely interesting tour - it was fantastic! I would personally like to thank RON who was exceptional! In our 4 days in Nashville - RON was the best tour guide we had - extremely knowledgeable, witty, great with our whole crew of people, and very passionate about Elvis, RCA, the history of music, and some very critical moments for Nashville & music in general. Standing in that studio room and hearing what we did - well it made me a little emotional at times with that much history. Full transparency - RCA was not on my top venue list to see prior to getting to Nashville. I was wrong. Some others like Country Music Hall of Fame, Ryman etc were, but RCA was interesting, but not not at the top for me. Having had my exceptional experience with RON & the RCA Tour - I would have adjusted my list of things to see and would recommend you do as well. Put RCA in your must see when visiting! When flying back home we talked about our favourite things we did and this tour was one of them. A big thank you to RON for his love of music and RCA, and for giving us a little bit of that while in Nashville. He's a pro - he greeted everyone [remembering where everyone was visiting from], and he also remembered we were from Canada and tied in a couple songs / facts about ELVIS & a couple Canada connections [i'll keep it a surprise]. We are forever grateful. ...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of attending the Studio B Tour organized by the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on July 31st, and it was an experience I’ll never forget! Our tour guide, Brenda, was simply fantastic. She was sweet, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the studio and the artists who recorded there. Her passion for music truly shone through, making the tour both engaging and entertaining.
Brenda's storytelling brought the rich history of Studio B to life. She expertly shared fascinating anecdotes about legendary artists like Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, and Chet Atkins, making us feel connected to the music that has shaped the genre. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and her ability to answer all our questions with ease showcased her deep understanding of the subject.
The atmosphere was especially special when we listened to some tunes recorded in this very studio. You could feel the magic in the air, knowing that so many renowned artists have created their iconic hits right in that room. It added an incredible layer of emotion to the experience, filling us with a sense of reverence and nostalgia.
If you're a fan of country music or simply appreciate music history, I highly recommend the Studio B Tour. It’s an absolute must-do when visiting Nashville! Thank you, Brenda, for making our tour...
Read moreWe did this as the optional extra to the Country Music Hall of Fame Tour, and we'd certainly recommend anyone reading this to do the same. We were bused out from the CMHF on a short trip to Studio B during which our tour guide provided an overview of the history and heritage of the place which was both useful and informative. There was quite a wait in the lobby as we waited for the tour in front of us to clear the studio during which we were played lots of music recorded there. Eventually we made our way through, and the atmosphere and nostalgia oozing from the place was almost tangible. Again, we were given an overview of some of the things that had gone on over the years and the various stars that had used the place. It was FASCINATING! You could almost feel Elvis's presence at his piano! Unfortunately, having been delayed entry, we were somewhat rushed out and overall I'd have to say that communications between the various tours that use the place needs to improve. That said, we were glad to have done it!
Footnote. We could certainly have lived without the constant reminders from our tour guide, both on the bus and in the studio, that he was a struggling musician/songwriter who would appreciate a healthy tip at the end of the tour! By the 8th or 9th reference we'd become heartily sick of his...
