80% Good but too noisy! Here’s what we liked/didn’t about this place:

  1. Full kitchen: i committed to preparing meals for a family of 4 while here to save money. I spent $325 on food which included a cheap coffee maker. They only have a Keurig here which doesn’t make strong coffee. Cooked a dozen + fairly elaborate meals here.
  2. It has 2 queen beds (pillows are lumpy) but the couch converts into a futon like bed with a thick cushion vs a thin mattress over metal bars. We thought it was comfortable.
  3. The kitchen amenities were ok but could have been a little more comprehensive like covers for the frying pans and a broader array of utensils
  4. There’s a washing machine and dryer in the apartment!! 🤩
  5. It’s VERY close to downtown! We took Ubers everywhere and aside from the Grand Ole Opry everything is less than 10 minutes and an $8 uber ride. The neighborhood is very safe to walk around at night
  6. If the staff was on your floor they get what you need quickly but in order to request something from the front desk the main number doesn’t connect you to the front desk so I had to physically walk down from the far end of the 4th floor a few times to ask for more towels, garbage bags, etc. the maintenance staff brought them shortly thereafter.
  7. The gym and club room on the 2nd floor were useful.
  8. Lots were f closet space!!!
  9. The blinds and curtains made it dark enough to sleep in or take a nap.
  10. It was quiet UNTIL…. a family of 5 checked in directly above us. It sounded like 4 elephants and a rhino stomping around all daY/night and even past midnight. Every time they moved a chair we heard it scraping and rumbling over our heads. I ran into them in the elevator and they were 5 medium sized people! They said it was the washing machine but a washing machine doesn’t travel back and forth from the kitchen to the bedroom for several hours. Unfortunately I’d never stay here again bc of this. The kind of massively disruptive noise is a deal killer. I couldn’t fall asleep. It’s the cheap construction of the building. Disappointing bc ask de from a few inconveniences it was a good choice. If your barely planning on being at the hotel or you stay up very late and get up early this may not bother you but I came here to recover from a long stressful year so had a good mix of activities and rest. They offered to move us but we were 3 days in so put up with it.
  11. The price for 5 nights with tax was amazing! If I could control the noise the next time I’d...

My husband and I took a trip to Nashville for our anniversary and thought this place would be perfect for us. We were sadly mistaken. The first incident was when we had to call the front desk because they gave us the room number and code of someone else's room. This made a very uncomfortable situation for us and the "very happy couple" in that room. When we called the front desk, they did not seem at all surprised as if something like this had happened before (which after reading some reviews we found out it has). When we got the correct room number, our 9 digit code for the keypad did not work, so we had to call the front desk again. We then had to walk back downstairs to get the actual key for the room since nothing else would work. After getting into the room, we thought it would get better from there. Instead, we were met with a broken bed that we could tell they tried fixing before by drilling wooden planks at the end of the bed to hold it up. The door didnt have an extra lock on it so we had to put our luggage in front of the door to get ease of mind that we wouldnt be walked in on either. Also, the TV is an apple TV, so unless you have an IOS device or an apple account, there's no TV for you, so we had to create an apple account. The main table was broken, and the washer was busted, so we couldn't even enjoy all the "amenities" the hotel had to offer. After all of that, we wanted to enjoy what sleep we could get with the comfy blanket they left us. However, we quickly felt the blanket had a hard spot that looked a lot like a man's bodily fluid, which was absolutely disgusting. We will never stay there again. No one else should go there either. Just spend the extra money to have a hotel on the strip and save yourself all the hassle we had to go through. NOT WORTH...

My husband decided to surprise me with an early Staycation for Valentine's, but it quickly turned disastrous. I'm not sure why when rooms are booked through a 3rd party, the front desk attendants seem to have an issue with it. Like it's their hotel or money, but I've noticed it happens a lot. After dinner we arrive at the hotel around 10pm for check-in. There were 2 front desk attendants that 1st said they couldn't find our booking. After about 10 minutes of back and forth, one of the attendants claim that the reservation was canceled. We didn't receive any cancelation notice from the booking site, so we were puzzled as to how this could be. After another 5-10 minutes of back and forth, the only resolution the attendant had was to book another room...with her. Say what??! So my husband decided to call Priceline to figure what was going on. (Notice there was no call attempt made by the front desk attendant) While he was on the phone he decided to move our car to a closer parking area and while he was away, the same attendant told me that the reservation was made under some random persons name and #, and the room had been canceled because that phone # was on some kind of "blocked- do not book, list". Again, SAY WHAT??? Priceline ended up confirming the room was actually canceled BY THE HOTEL AT 7:00 pm for unknown reasons and they didnt know anything about the block list claims. By this time, we were annoyed and just left to head home. Thanks for ruining what could have been a cool ending to a nice night Placemakr. Your staff needs to do better. The lack of empathy and concern was appalling. I expect better treatment than what I...

After today, I’ll never will book with placemakr again. I booked a “reserve now pay later” room on Expedia. Which is $639.51. I saw on expedia today (Friday October 25) that the same room was cheaper and decided to go ahead and pay for that from, which was $562.24. Cancellations policy states if I cancel the day before, before 3pm, I will not be charge the full price. And I did just that, but was still charge. So basically on the same day I was charged $1,207.75. Now I will not be able to make a funeral because placemakr took $639.51 at 10amish. My reservation was for October 26. I cancelled on the 25th at 9:30 am ish. I had a death in my family and will not be able to me make it because that $639.51 was suppose to go towards a car rental. Yes I will be receiving the refund back, in 72 hours, and the funeral is Saturday(October 26)… who has the money for a rental???…. It’s the principle and an extreme inconvenience. No one could explain to me why that was taken out of my account. All I got was an “I am so sorry for the inconvenience and lost of your family member”. Pictures below of charges and cancellation policy. I spoke with Jacob who says is the front desk manager. Was not able to speak with general manager, Ryan. Got told I need to call corporate when there is no corporate office. Spoke with Walter Stanley who is manager over all Placemakrs. I never thought I’d be at a age(28) having to write reviews and to speak with upper management. I seriously have to miss my only brothers funeral. All because Placemakr was not doing their part. Legal parties will be involved. Please book with someone else.

We stayed at Placemakr Music Row for a long weekend. The location was great. H&S Bagels is across the street, 3 coffee shops, and multiple restaurants are all within 2 blocks. The check in was easy, but punching in a 9 digit code for everything, especially with keypads that aren’t always responsive was a slight nuisance. The fact that the room comes with a washer and dryer, detergent pods and dryer sheets was great. The delivery options are limitless. The hotel grew on me the longer we stayed and the staff was helpful when I needed to add another night. For the value, for Nashville, it wasn't bad. Parking is an extra $30 a night but we found it to be worth it. There was never open parking on the street and it was nice to be in a gated lot. Some cons; the bed was not comfortable, there were no fitted sheets on the bed, there is virtually no TV (you log into your own streaming services), the walls are paper thin, and the rooms were generally a little dirty and worn. The rug curled up on the ends where you tripped over it all the time, the table in the living area was chipping, there was...some kind of stain on the sofa, and the view was overlooking a dumpster. With all that being said, I would probably go back and stay again just because of the great location.

The price is fair for this location, but the building is very old and the rooms have extremely poor soundproofing. I could hear footsteps from the guests above me, and even the sound of the toilet flushing in the next room. The cleanliness of the room also left much to be desired. I found leftover food on the tableware, which was extremely disgusting. The bed sheets and duvet cover were covered with stains, and I even found a used floss pick under the bed. This made me check the mattress for bed bugs. The hotel also provided worn-out and damaged towels. Is this really supposed to be a four-star hotel? Most importantly, after I checked out, the hotel charged my credit card for parking without my authorization, even though I never parked at the property. Their justification for this charge was simply that I had asked about parking information when I made the reservation, which is completely unreasonable. I strongly advise anyone who has stayed at this hotel to carefully review their credit card statements to ensure they are not being charged for services they never used.
