My company hosted a group of the big wigs in Nashville. Most folks had never been here before, and I wanted to show off the variety of foods available. I luckily found Cocorico on Instagram a few months back, and the croissants have always been incredible (dare I say... as good as croissants I've had in France?).
I knew I needed to show off Cocorico to my colleagues, and after contacting through the catering form on their website, Elodie reached out. She scheduled a brief phone call, and we discussed the dietary restrictions, types of food, and logistics. We settled on lunch, with baguette sandwiches, a cheese and meat board, salad with all the toppings, and of course chocolate cake. The entire process was incredibly easy, and Elodie was responsive and incredibly helpful the entire time. Additionally, the pricing was well within our budget for the group. Out of the five catered meals I set up, this one was definitely the most stress-free.
The day of the event, Elodie came and set up the lunch right on schedule. We had a spot ready for her in the back of the room, and she was able to display her food beautifully, as pictured. My colleagues absolutely loved every aspect of the lunch, and I've had a few of them ask me to bring chocolate cake next time I visit their home offices. The variety of baguette sandwiches were a hit, the butter, honey, and spreads provided with the cheese board gave folks options, and the amount of food was perfect!
I can't recommend Cocorico enough, and I will absolutely have them cater my next event! Thank you for the wonderful meal and looking forward to many more croissants, cakes, quiches,...
Read moreI visited this French café in Nashville with high expectations, hoping for an authentic "French experience" as advertised on their website. The staff was very nice, which was a good start. However, my enthusiasm quickly faded due to some disappointing points.
Firstly, the coffee and hot chocolate were not up to par; it didn’t seem like there was a professional barista managing this area. While the food was good, it did not meet my expectations, and the chocolate croissant was clearly not freshly baked that morning.
I would have loved to see a variety of breads, pastries, and, of course, macarons. Additionally, when dining on-site, I expect to drink my coffee or hot chocolate from a ceramic cup and saucer, not a paper cup, and for the food to be served on ceramic plates with silverware, not aluminum trays and plasticware. This attention to detail is crucial in delivering a true French experience.
Although they have chairs and tables outside, adding umbrellas would be great, especially on sunny summer days, as this would make the outdoor space much more comfortable and attractive.
In summary, on my opinion, with some adjustments and improvements on their menu, this café has the potential to truly offer an authentic French experience...
Read moreWalking into Cocorico right off Demonbreun, you get hit with the vibe that this place isn’t messing around with its French cuisine game. Elodie Habert, the brain behind the operation, has managed to import a slice of France into Nashville, and she’s knocking it out of the park.
Let’s talk about the French chocolate cake that had my daughter practically in tears of joy. Imagine the richest, most legit Belgium chocolate stuffed in the middle of a cake so good it should be illegal. This thing melts in your mouth and leaves you plotting your next visit before you’ve even finished.
Now, onto the Parisian sandwich - this was the highlight for me. We’re talking prime choice deli ham and Brie cheese on a baguette that’s got just the right amount of butter. It's like someone flew in from Paris that morning just to make sure I got the real deal. Fresh ingredients? Check. Makes your taste buds do a happy dance? Double-check.
Cocorico is the real deal when it comes to French cuisine in Nashville. No fluff, just straight-up good food that speaks for itself. It’s the kind of place you go to treat yourself and come out feeling like you’ve taken a quick trip to France, minus the jet lag. Definitely coming back for more....
