I had the worst experience at this awful excuse for a business! I will NEVER EVER go back and will make a point to encourage others to stay far away from this awful venue. What is wrong with the owner of this place? Does he/she not read all the complaints about the "security" (more like poorly raised trash)? Considering all the awful drama that has gone on all over the world lately, people should not have to worry about being harassed and physically abused by power tripping bouncers. First we were rudely interrupted and harassed about our hand stamps not being dark enough and we needed to go back to the door and have our IDs checked again (mind you everyone in our group is over 30). But fine, we took the time to do it without complaint. Then, a bouncer saw my friend pull an outside drink from her purse. He came over, yanked her by the arm and pulled her through the crowd, out the door. Of course, all the rest of our large group decided to leave too. She didn't have a weapon, it was a drink! I don't think that is any reason to put your hands on a female. I'm surprised this place has not been sued or shut down. I've never seen anything like that in my life. I've seen bouncers ask you to throw it away and give a warning, but to put their hands on her like she was trying to start a fight or pulling out a weapon....absolutely uncalled for! If they have such an issue with outside drinks they need to make a point to ask people to throw them away or look in their purse. I'm still in shock that anyone would feel like they have the right or authority to put their hands on someone, especially a (overweight sweaty disgusting) bouncer snatching up a tiny female with...

I have to be really honest, I've never ever written a bad review for anyone anywhere and I definitely thought about this before doing it, but I'm still very mad about it. My boyfriend and I came out this past Saturday to see a band with some friends. I went in knowing that I was going to pay for the majority of the night. (My bf is awesome and usually wants to take me out, but it was my turn to take him out) as we were leaving, my bf told me his tab was 40 dollars. He had only gotten us one round of beers(two beers). I was in the industry for 14 years. I'm understanding, but this wasn't right. They try and take advantage of people who are drinking. When I approached the bartender about it, he tried to convince us we were wrong because we were "drunk" we definitely weren't drunk. On top of the fact he tried to say my bf was drinking makers and sprite and bought HIM shots(he doesn't drink makers and he definitely wouldn't buy some random dude shots), so the bartender had also been drinking. I'd asked to see my boyfriends tab a few times and the bartender wouldn't show it to me. He finally pulled the money from his tip jar and gave it to us. So not only did he try and rip us off, his judgement was skewed due to him drinking. I wonder how many people he's actually stolen from. We won't be...

The Exit/In is a worthy venue worth preserving. I've seen my Oxford, MS pals the Kudzu Kings here several times. I'm also always glad to see folks from long ago that I haven't seen in many years show up for shows here so that makes the whole experience here at Exit/In even better. The venue is spacious while not being too big to lose the ability to have a good view of the performance from pretty much all over the space so it is intimate without being cramped. They also have an upstairs balcony level area that also adds some more good space to view the show. The sound quality in the space was also of good quality which isn't always the case in some venues. This space has hosted a LOT of famous and less famous quality bands and they have a pretty extensive list of them on the wall behind the bar. The bar service was quick and easy but it did take the bartender's longer than average to remember my tab. The Tiki Bar exit that leads to their patio did not have a Tiki Bar but it does lead off pretty near to Cafe CoCo which is an awesome place to grab a snack and more beer after a show!

Overall this is definitely an awesome venue to watch a show in and it is just a perfect size place to have a great...

An unforgettable night of music Artist. Exit/IN created a vibrant atmosphere dedicated to live music. The atmosphere was filled with good vibes and energy. The venue is located in the heart of Music City, offering easy access for music lovers. The sound system at Exit/In is exceptional, allowing the music to resonate without distortion. The lighting enhanced the ambiance and complemented the music. Caskey delivered the best performance. His stage presence was electric, and the Artist before him performing created a great flow to the evening. The setlist showcased their range and versatility. Memorable moments, such as Pimp and Caskey, will be remembered long after the concert. The audience's energy elevated the experience. The staff was professional and attentive, ensuring an enjoyable night. The Exit/IN provides an outstanding platform for live music. Its location, acoustics, facilities, and staff create a memorable experience for performers and audience members. It is recommended for anyone seeking a musical event and just knowing legions performed here makes it even better.

Not ADA friendly. The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. They tried to accommodate ADA, but it's just not the type of venue to make it work. They had an area roped off with high stools and tables to sit at, but if you have a cane, it's very hard to get up into. The problem is if the seats were any lower, you couldn't see the stage. If you are into a small venue with a close personal atmosphere, a bar, a smoking area with seating, then this place is bomb. The sound was great, too. Don't let my rating fool you because it was just based on my experience having a disability, it's not their fault.

The show i saw was incredible. Stage, sound, lighting, all very well done. I'm not sure if the bands had their own lights and sound or if the venue provided it. Either way it was fun and high quality. The room was packed (and hot). There was barely any room to even approach the bar or get to the restrooms. Which is great for the bands, with tickets at $30+ each after fees. My single pour of Makers Mark was $18 before tip. I didn't really see any beverage prices, but it was so crowded I didn't really look around too long.
