The good... Marshall, our waiter, was so awesome, attentive, sweet..he was so great. I would come back just for him. The food was just overly awesome. We talked about the food well after we had left the place. Everything was great, especially the Brussels. Really enjoyed the food.
The bad.... we arrived right at 7:30. Reservations at 7:15. I called and talked to Austin and let him know we were going to be there at 7:30, according to my GPS. He said that was fine. I valet parked for 28 dollars and went in. The entrance was a little dirty. The carpet had trash on it, and many staff were just standing around. The host came to to us, a few minutes after we had been standing there. We told him about the reservations, and we had spoken to Austin. He said he would be back. About 1 to 2 minutes later, a Whyte waitress with the worst synthetic wig I had ever seen or whatever she was came up to the podium and began lecturing me on the late policy. I explained to her that we had called and we were there at 7:30 per late policy and had been standing there waiting for someone to help us and seat us. She comensed to reprimand me by saying, " Yea well, it's 7:35" I reminded her again that we had been standing here for 5 minutes.. now the restaurant was not busy, evident by a lot of the staff just standing around and also there were many open tables. So I stated that we could just make another reservation for 7:45, if it was a big issue. She responded that we could still be seated without making another reservation and that she was just stating their policy. Okay, I got it and already knew the policy. That's the reason that I called and spoke to Austin when I knew we would be late. So why the lecture. I almost lectured her on the correct way to wear a wig..... she walked us past many empty tables that stayed empty through our whole time there and sat us in the worst table in the restaurant.. we sat right in front of the computer in the very back of the restaurant at the last table where the staff were standing and continued to stand while we were sitting and eating. I asked her if this was the punishment table because we were late. She ignored me and walked away. What saved her was MARSHALL. But the area we sat was not appealing, and my friend felt like we were being treated as if our money wasn't good enough or that we were not welcomed there. It was cold, and the staff was standing behind her head which was unappealing as we were attempting to enjoy the food. Thanks to Marshall for showing us respect and turning the experience around for us. I spent 200 dollars with tips just for me plus $28 for valet. So this place is not cheap, but the food is in big portions and really good. It's really worth it. Hopefully, next time I go, I can get a better table or one of the many better tables that stayed empty and better initial service from the door to the table. Thank you, Marshall, for saving the night. You're the real MVP at SupperClub on Belcourt.
Update 2.1.24.....I have emailed the restaurant as requested and have not gotten a response related...

I've sent a message directly to the restaurant in hopes they'll improve. We had high hopes and were excited to try this place. No dice. I would like to begin this by saying, I worked as a server and bartender for 15 years (in both casual and fine dining). As I understand the ins and outs of a night of service, I am easy to please and very patient with servers and kitchen staff. It takes an abysmal experience for me to walk away unhappy. I would say the same for my girlfriends. We enjoy going out and spending time together over a nice dinner. If we have a drink in our hand, decent service and decent food. We’re happy. Yet, here we are.
I’m sending this email, because I believe when we know better, we do better. This isn’t to trash the name of this establishment. It’s my hope you’ll take this info and improve upon the next guests’ experience.
My girlfriends and I had a 7:45pm reservation last night. We arrived and were seated by 7:50pm. We then sat, without an opportunity to order drinks or apps, until a server finally came over at 8:15pm. The place wasn’t crowded. When the server came over, there was no apology for the wait and no urgency to get us started.
20 minutes later, our drinks arrived. A glass of wine and two tequila sodas (that were watered down from sitting at the bar). Again, no apology or urgency.
At this point, we didn’t have a lot of hope in the experience and were hesitant to spend the money on the highly priced entrees. So we settled for pretty simple orders and some of us sharing an entree and side. The food came in a timely manner but was subpar. The Caesar salad was wilted and dripping in dressing. The oysters were less than desirable. The chicken was decent, as were the baked potatoes and brussel sprouts.
During dinner, I believe our server checked on us maybe once. That would be fine if we seemed thrilled with the experience or weren’t in need of more water, but that wasn’t the case. You guys HAVE to get larger water glasses or have someone constantly on the move with a pitcher for refills. One of us sat with an empty little water glass for a full 20 minutes.
As we finished up, plates were never cleared and we were never offered dessert. The check was just tossed at the end of the table, between dirty plates.
We were all truly in shock of how awful the experience was. If this was a Friday night at a Chili’s? Sure. If this were even a busy Friday night at Belcourt and our server was slammed but hustling and trying her best, understandable. But this was a slow Tuesday night and you’re charging fine dining prices. This sort of experience, at those prices, is unacceptable. There are too many amazing restaurants in Nashville to spend money here.
I truly hope...
Read moreWe went on a Saturday night at 7pm and there were a decent amount of people there. We had a reservation and as soon as we walked in the host was friendly and took us right to our seats. Our table was for two. On one end of our table was a small gold chair, and on the other a booth. I sat in the booth and my friend sat in the chair. She did complain that the chair was a bit small, wobbly and uncomfortable. So, it made us think they went on the cheaper side regarding the furniture. Nevertheless, my friend made the best of it. We were soon greeted by our waitress who was absolutely AMAZING the entire night (I regret not remembering her name). We ordered a few cocktails and every single one was wonderful - so kudos to the bartender that night! Now, on to the food, which is where things start to go downhill. We ordered the soul rolls and the chargrilled oysters for our appetizers. The oysters were pretty good. Not the best I’ve had in the area, but they weren’t bad. The flavor and taste of the soul roll was OK. However, one of the rolls was way overcooked which prevented us from even eating it. Next, the entrées …I ordered the seafood pasta. Although it carries the name “seafood pasta” it’s really just a shrimp and sausage pasta. With the name, you would expect shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams, lobster, crab…something more than just shrimp. However, I knew what I ordered based off the description, so no surprise. I just suggest a name change. The taste of the pasta was just OK. The fettuccine noodles were cooked way past al dente, and the entire dish was wayyy too salty! My friend ordered the No “L” salmon. The dish is supposed to be salmon topped with béarnaise sauce and lump crab. We received the entrée without the lump crab. We informed the waitress who agreed and went to the kitchen to inform the cook. The waitress then returned and said that she was told the crab was mixed into the sauce. It absolutely WAS NOT. We again had the waitresses look at the dish who again agreed as well that there was no lump crab on the dish at all. In addition, we pulled up several photos and knew exactly how the dish should look. After a while we just left it alone. Then, 5 minutes or so later a gentlemen comes out with a plate of lump crab and says, “we decided we’ll give you extra.” We thought, “Huh??? What do you mean “extra”…there was never any there to begin with!” Instead of them just taking accountability and apologizing for their mistake, he tried to make it seem like he was giving us “extra” and that we were lying. That definitely rubbed us the wrong way! Nevertheless, again, our waitress was wonderful, so we made sure to give her a very generous tip. However, we do not see ourselves coming back anytime soon. So much money wasted. For an “upscale” restaurant they are definitely missing the mark. For the price, there are far better places to visit nearby. I do hope...
