This location is the new premier brunch location in Nashville! If you choose to attend brunch on a Sunday, you will need to be prepared for the experience. You will be served each course in appetizer portions. The menu is not the same from week to week, so you might get served dishes that you may not normally eat or enjoy. If you have food allergies and aversion then I would suggest that you go from Tuesday-Friday. There is a standard menu during the week, so it would be easier to enjoy the menu and control allergies.
Now, back to the Sunday Brunch experience. In order to enjoy the Sunday Brunch experience, you have to make a reservation online and pay in advance. At the time of our reservation, we paid $50 per person. That covered the meal and bottomless mimosas for that first hour. If you ordered any additional drinks or cocktails then you will be charged at the end of the brunch and can pay at that time. When you arrive they will immediately check your ID, and once seated they will start sending around the mimosas. Everything was delicious! We didn't know what was being sent out from one appetizer to the next, but each dish was a treat! While the appetizers ate being served you can ask for seconds, thirds or even fourths of whatever you like. I wouldn't recommend it because it's a lot to enjoy. Everything was served hot and fresh! Each dish was carefully prepared because nothing was rushed or hurried in the cooking process. This was evident in the smooth and creamy shrimp and grits. The grains were clearly slow cooked over a low heat for an extended period of time.m to be that tender and that creamy. You could also witness this in the turnip greens that were serced. Cooked to perfection with a robust flavor in each bite. Not slimy or crunchy, but just right. You can even taste it in the crawfish gravy and biscuits. The biscuits had a faint shortbread cookie flavor to it. Not the sweetness per se, just the flavor. The biscuit texture was so tender inside and a soft yet crisp outside. And the crawfish gravy was a work of art. The flavors were complex and balanced. I do not like crawfish at all, and I couldn't get enough of that rich and flavorful gravy! I look forward to going back again during the week and trying some menu items. But if you want a full Nashville Brunch experience, then this is where you need to be on a Sunday. This place is a VIBE! Trust me! It's the place to be for brunch in...
Read moreI had high expectations, so the experience was disappointing. I was looking forward to an experience based on their social media posts.
I'll start of by saying that this is a great location (In my opinion) and there is much potential for this to be a great spot. My review is based on the customer service experience and ambiance.
I went with my small family in a Sunday afternoon. There was only 3 other families seated inside at the time. We ordered our food and my husband and I noticed some cosmetic things thay took away from the dining experience. Cobwebs were visible near where I was seated (I was seated against a wall). The walls also had stains on them and could use a simple wipe down. Additionally, there were a few broken light fixtures in the ceiling.
Then the service. When our food arrived, we did not have or receive any silverware, nor napkins. After bringing it to our server's attention, she quickly got them, but it's just the point that a restaurant at this price point per person, shouldn't have this happening. There were many, many, workers sitting around. As someone who worked in the service industry "back in the day", I know that the manager on duty should've been watching and coaching the server to ensure impeccable service. Not the case.
Oh! There is a bar inside which I think is great. When my husband and I asked about a drink menu, our sever brought us one from the bar. A few minutes later, the bartender came to our table to grab it back. He said he needed it. Lol, you only have one drink menu for the entire restaurant!?
The food was okay. My husband said the mash potatoes had the after taste of "boxed" mashed potatoes. The chicken and fish was good, but small portions for the price.
Presentation and service go a long way. This place has potential, but time should be invested in cultivating great food service. Additionally, the presentation and plating of food should not be happenstance. There are many restaurant examples in close proximity that you could learn from. Just visit! Shadow someone, I don't know. It would be worth the investment.
Someone I talked to about my experience recommended that I give this place another try but only when they sell tickets for brunch. I don't...
Read moreWhew! Now that I have a moment, let me tell you about my experience with Butterfly Garden Brunch & Events. It’s long but worth it!
So my Mother’s Day brunch was Saturday and we just wanted a chill relaxed day and and bc we couldn’t agree on a place to eat!I took over and reached out to Butterfly Garden and spoke with Chef Jerod Wilcher.
He asked the typical questions a caterer does. But then he asked about my event itself. I spent about 10 min explaining everything that happened and how we got to that point (lot of unnecessary details). He listened, asked questions, and told me he could handle it and with my budget.
I originally planned to have my event at 230 and bc they were hosting their own event he said he could get it to me by 11. He called the maybe a day or 2 to confirm and said he didn’t feel right delivering it so early bc he wanted it to be fresh. I said it was fine. We talked about the menu then he says you know what… I’ll have it to you around 1. I don’t want to do that to you.
And baaaaabbbbyyyy they showed out!!!!!!! We had Hennessy chicken, red velvet waffles, regular waffles, fried chicken, crawfish gravy, waffle biscuits, stuffed waffles, Mac and cheese, (I made a fruit bowl and brownies 🤣) and it was all hot and fresh!!!!
I say all that to say in a world full of business with mediocre services, there are still business that still go above and beyond for their customers. When you have a service like theirs from A-Z, your price is your price and I will gladly pay. I didn’t take pics bc I wasn’t prepared for how much food it was actually going to be, so some of it stayed in the pans.🤷🏾♀️
Thank you so much for making this an effortless and...
