I had one of the best nights at tall tales, the rooftop bar at the Waymore hotel. I went there for happy hour with friends and got two glasses of wine on happy hour pricing. The vibe of the bar was great. They had incredible music playing all night which I really appreciate it. All of the music was from the Golden era of hip-hop, who doesn’t love that. The staff was really awesome and very nice and talked to us a bit early on. We went to dinner across the street and then actually came back to tall tales afterwards because we had such a good time the first time around we wanted to continue the night. The rooftop is absolutely huge. You don’t realize that first how big it is, but it extends the length of the building and has one of the best views of downtown Nashville. Read moreThis was my second time at this rooftop bar, and I’m officially sold. The staff has been fantastic both times—even with different people—which says a lot. The drinks are top-tier, but what really surprises me is the food. Most rooftop spots phone it in on the menu—cute drinks, nice ambiance, and food that’s just… there. Not here. The food is genuinely great. Thoughtful, flavorful, and clearly not an afterthought.
You can tell they care about the details—everything from the greenery to the cocktails feels considered. And a special shoutout for having a non-alcoholic menu that’s actually exciting. That’s rare and really appreciated.
