Drive-thru experience.1 hour before closing. Rolled up, I had an easy dinner order and placed an order for a free biscuits basket from a promo mailer I received. The person confirmed the order and I pulled up. At the greeting I handed the mailer and he, surprised, said he’d never seen this before and he will comp the biscuits. Weird exchange because I had just said it was a free coupon. Anyway, maybe 2 minutes passed and a bag of food was placed at the little staging station near the drive thru window. There it sat for almost 10 more minutes. While I waited and wondered who’s food was dying in the window, the employees where doing some basketball style trash cleanup. Cool. A guy was refilling To go sauce cups while mowing down chicken. No gloves and eating over the sauce refills. I finally got the “dudes” attention and asked for my food. It sat on the table for way too long and still don’t quite understand what happened in there. My only guess is that the biscuits threw them off they had to do a re fire…that took way too long, of premade biscuits?? The free biscuits brought me to Waldo’s, ordered two full meals that had good flavor and where just fine. If there are no other restaurant options, I would...
Read moreI regularly patronize this restaurant…I live within a few blocks of it. I know Germantown has its regular flow of traffic but it seems like this place cannot sustain a lunch rush. I usually order online but their website is hit or miss around that time everyday, go figure. Today I called in to order and was told to wait then, hung up on. I called back in to order said my order and placed my order giving my name. Once I got into the place there was one cashier and a decent length line and that doesn’t move fast as always (reason I order ahead online and pay). Once I finally got to the line my order couldn’t be found. Apparently the person who answered put my name as “R”. If this wasn’t frustrating enough, through my own error, I tipped $15 because their system adds zeroes when you punch in digits. Again my fault but it doesn’t allow you much room for error as it submits immediately. Food is good and it’s close but I’m probably not gonna patronize until they can remedy the lunch influx. It can be a bit much between 11:30 and 2:00.
Update: they have since addressed issue and I’m back as a...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I are Nashville natives & foodie people. Once we find a good restaurant we are loyal customers forever. We tried Waldo’s yesterday for the first time and had a great experience. The food is so good. We decided to go back today, and do curbside this time. The order was supposed to be ready by 5:55 pm. We arrived at 5:51, and let them know we were here. No one came out AT ALL, so we decided to go in twice. The first time my boyfriend went in and checked the To-Go, and nothing was there. We waited 5 ish minutes, and I finally went in at 6:09. Almost 20 minutes of waiting in the car. I go in and tell the girl at the counter we’ve been waiting since 5:55, she immediately goes over and gets our food and doesn’t apologize or anything. I asked her how long the food was sitting and she said “oh i don’t know, probably not long because the cooks forgot to tell us it was ready”. Clearly she didn’t have a clue. Also- when I walked in at 6:09, there was a to-go ready at 6:15, so that tells me the cooks are ahead of schedule. The food is amazing here, but the service we received...
