Atmosphere was nice and vibing. It’s very modern and clean. Our server was good she was very friendly and personable. She did mention something about the food coming out when it comes out. (Maybe there is no specific timing for any of the items)
The food was ok. We went here because we saw it on instagram and read reviews. If you like to eat out in a nice and modern atmosphere this is a good place. The food didn’t match up or level with the atmosphere it was average and normal nothing spectacular. So to be honest we won’t be coming back for the food. We’ve had better else where in Nashville which has become a staple for us. We also thought it was more cost to eat here than other Italian places we have eaten that has authentic Italian, perhaps the price is paying for the atmosphere.
The reason why I am not giving high rating on stars is because we ordered fish which came out significantly later than the other food we had ordered. The food items we had ordered all came out within an appropriate time frame maybe 15 mins apart or so from each other which was communicated to us (the food will come out randomly, no specific time frame) We were pretty much done eating and I did not want to be rude as we were waiting for the fish we ordered to come out. I kindly asked our server to check on it and she checked her computer tablet and said something like it’s still in the kitchen cooking. My husband and I were talking anyway and I slowed down on eating my pasta since I wanted to eat the fish and pasta together. Maybe 20 mins passed by I asked her again and she said the same thing. Another maybe 15 mins passed by and for sure we were done eating. More time passed by and we were ready to go. So this may be like a total of 40 mins waiting for the fish after all the other items came out. Finally a gentleman comes out of the kitchen with the fish and my husband and I were excited to try the fish since it was highly recommended. But to be honest the fish that came out was not at all what our server described in her description. Also, my husband and I have been in the restaurant industry most a good chunk of our career, when the fish came out to me it appeared to be cooked “ in a rush” and also not what was described. Again, we did not want to rude bc we understand but the fish was DRENCHED in butter. My husband even said this looks like butter with fish not fish with butter sauce. Anyway we both took small bites and couldn’t eat it, I called over the manager and asked him to kindly take this off as we were not going to eat it. We explained to him that it was drenched in butter and that it came out significantly later than the rest of our food I said something like 40 mins to an hour apart from the other food. He mentioned something like “ i don’t know if this was communicated to you but the food comes out as its ready or comes out as it is..so weather that 40 mins or and hour apart from each other.. “ I don’t know understand how one dish can come out an hour apart from each other. Either the fish was forgotten to be put in, or the server could have communicated the fish will take an hour or more to come out. Anyway I didn’t appreciate or understand what the manager said it doesn’t make sense. I have not experienced eating out in a restaurant before where food comes out an hour apart from each other and that’s how the operations works as the manager explained. I have however eaten out in a restaurant where the server explains this dish take “30 mins to Cook” and so it will come out later than the...

I had expected the weakest cooks would be working on a Monday, and since it was my first time in, I lowered my expectations. However the service was quite good and there were probably too many staff working a Monday night. The chatter from staff was louder than the guest's conversation. Meatballs were cooked well, texture wise, but lacking flavor in the meat itself, the sauce was OK. The wings were very disappointing and didn't seem like they were seasoned or they even brine their wings. The char was perfect, so it's not the line cooks. It's the prep team that failed this time. The pastas were undercooked during prep. They were floury in a way that can only happen when you make your own pasta, but don't cook it to the correct tenderness before allowing it to cool. Thus causing a mushy floury texture when reheated to order. The sauces for the pesto and the a la vodka pasta were way too salty and practically inedible. The croquet was cold the first time and hot the second time, but nothing stood out about that dish either. The chicken parm was too thin and dry. I would suggest to not butterfly the chicken breast to get more of a yield as it truly deflated what would have otherwise been a great dish. Especially for the proce tag of $21 for a single breast, you could actually give your guests the whole breast and tenderize it. Don't pound it so thin! The mushrooms were okay, although my partner swears they were amazing the last time. Our service was really quite good despite no manager stopping by to visit the 2 top that was literally ordering everything on the menu, taking pictures and clearly leaving a review. Managers visiting the table is something I've seen at many other "high-end" restaurants in Nashville. Harpers, Luogo, Halls, 1230 Club, stoney River, and others. The lady running our food was genuinely concerned about what we were ordering and if we enjoyed it. The market fish was a bit overcooked, although seasoned perfectly. It didn't melt in your mouth like treehouse or Bubgalow10. The lemon garlic confit-esque aioli was solid. The Luogo Spritz was just okay, so luckily, they carry bravazzi a staple of craft bars in Nashville. They also have fernet branca, a mark of a great bar. I'd have to say this felt more like a great bar with decent food than an amazing restaurant. Think of this as a poor man's Luogo in Germantown. Honestly, it's just what the neighborhood needed a nother addition to the roster of excellent resrurants in Germantown. Although there are certainly more polished kitchens in the neighborhood. I would still recommend trying this place if you're a local. If you're traveling, you would have a much more fulfilling culinary experience at another spot.
**seems management is a bit hurt over my review unfortunately this is a reflection of my experience and I can't change it even if they want to name call that would be dishonest to anyone who follows me for accuracy and recommendations. Instead I hope they can use some of this to improve...
Read moreIf I can recommend just one thing to get from here, it would be the Vodka Pasta.
We decided to try this place out based on so many recommendations on social media, almost every video I came across said to try out Pelato.
While the plates are small, it’s meant to be shared family style and you can try out other dishes. Drinks Brooklyn Brewery Lager: My husband ordered this drink to try out, he said it tasted pretty good. Apple Ginger Spritz: I was really wanting to try out their famous Espresso Martini, but I knew I would be up all night if I got it, so I asked our kind waiter what he recommended regarding cocktails on the lighter & sweeter side, I decided to go with this. I really enjoyed this drink, it wasn’t too strong, but tasty and really great with our dinner.
Appetizers Fresh House-made Mozzarella: While I loved the idea of the house made cheese, it wasn’t our favorite. It was good, and glad we got to try it, but will not be ordering again. Street Style Arancini: I was looking forward to these, and I loved the sauce it came with. One of the better Arancini that I’ve had. Potato Croquettes: My husband wanted to get this because he said it looked good, and while we all enjoyed it, just like the mozzarella it just was’t our favorite.
Meats Meatballs Al Forno: This was what my husband said he would come back for, my father in law and my husband devoured this meatball. Chicken Marsala: My mother in law wanted to order this, while myself and my husband din’t necessarily enjoy this, she did. I thought the cutlet was too thin, and the sauce was a little too salty. My husband wasn’t a fan that there were more mashed potatoes than chicken that you can barely tell there was any meat on the plate.
Pastas Radiatori Vodka: ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! It was creamy, the kind of pasta that was used was the perfect choice for it because the sauce was able to get into the little crevice of the pasta. It was creamy and all around chef’s kiss! Bucatini Cacio E Pepe: We all liked this pasta as well, I think my father in law enjoyed it more than the rest of us, he loved the cracked black pepper in it.
Dessert San Gennaro Zeppoles: I would skip on this dessert, it was a nice ending to our dinner, but it was just missing something in the middle since it was a little dense. A light filling inside would have been good, but overall it not a bad choice just wasn’t our favorite.
Like I said, the pasta was the star of the our dinner here, and whenever we are back in town, it would quite literally be the only thing I order from here, and I’m sure my husband would probably order a couple...
