In most small IN towns, sidewalks roll up early. So to find a place open until 9P.M. on a Sunday was great as usually chain restaurants aren't a fab way of ending a long day trip. This place is part of an Inn, that reminds me of old resorts in the 60's. There was a after reception (after party) off the outer part of restaurant. People were playing badminton, swimming, shuffle board! Little lights adorned a garden and even fresh herbs were growing in a little box by a window. That being said; it took us quite awhile to get even a drink but, 2025 economy and people driving far and barely scraping by, I was still impressed with our waitress "Amanda", who drives over an hour at least 5 days a week. She didn't know the brands carried at bar and the assigned food runner forgot my crazy good coleslaw, but I eventually got. Portions were generous. We didn't have a fancy meal but fish tarter sauce was supreme, as well as slaw. Everything did come Hot...yes! So despite my 3 stars we did enjoy. This place has potential and we DID bypass the (2) best dining establishments in Nashville. However, character and even having a little flame at indoor table was nice. There was no food...
Read moreFriendly, attentive service. Betsy especially was awesome! And the food was soooo good. My family and I enjoyed everything we tried. Everything was made in house. Menu highlights, Veggie eggs benedict - AMAZING! My aunt said the steak sandwich was so good she had to have it both nights we were there because she knew she wouldn't be able to have it when she got back home to Ohio. Fries were delicious. The pimento cheese appetizer was so so good and more than enough to share, only issue is we needed more crostini for the generous portion of pimento cheese. My cousin loved the butternut squash curry with shrimp addition, her mom tasted it and enjoyed it even though she isn't usually a curry person. The chocolate mousse was rich and delicious. And their chipotle aioli... we ordered it on the side of everything after we had our 1st taste. I wish they sold jars of it to take home. The Inn, Restaurant, and all of the staff were lovely. We are looking forward to...
Read moreMy husband, son, and I had a delightful dinner! We practically inhaled the house-baked focaccia bread. The seasoning on the shrimp and grits was very well-balanced...and shrimp was cooked perfectly. My son had the baked mac and cheese with shredded chicken. He has a very sophisticated palate for fifteen and his comment was, "Now this isn't your ordinary "pitch-in" mac and cheese...this is amazing...best I've ever eaten." I had a bite and have to agree...very yummy! My husband enjoyed the tender, juicy fried chicken. We all agreed that it rivaled Paula Dean's. We can't wait to go back and try more if their offerings! So thankful to have such a talented chef in Nashville. While talking with our server, we learned about the renovations that have been done to the Inn. What we saw looked great! It was dark outside, but I plan to go back for a tour. Their pool area has glass doors that can be opened during nice weather and closed in the...
