With two teenagers in the our house my Husband and I wanted to getaway for nice romantic evening. I booked a room at the Connerstone Inn. We got checked in left and went to a couple of shops around town came back to get ready for Dinner. We had to call down to the front desk because the water would only stay hot for five minute increments. They said that the needed to reroute the hot water. Why this wasn’t done before we arrived is beyond me. We left and had a wonder dinner came back and was trying to continue our romantic evening when there is a knock on our door. We ignore it assuming somebody just got the wrong door. A few minutes later another louder knock. My husband cracks the door open to the front desk clerk and a maintenance man. They inform us that there is a leak in the downstairs room, ask if they could come in to investigate. My husband ask them to give us a minute. The maintenance man goes into the bathroom and talks very loudly and laughing on his cell phone for 10 minutes. Then informs us that he will have to come back in about five minutes. By this time my husband and I are both annoyed. I ask if they could just give us a different room. He looks at us like we are stupid, tells us he will have to ask the manager, then gets on his phone again. I tell him that this is ridiculous and he finally steps out of our room. After 15 minutes he finally comes back and takes us to a different room. The bed in the second room is so uncomfortable that I did not sleep the entire night. First off they should have called before coming up to our room. Secondly they should have offered a different room right away. They wasted over an hour of our evening with all of this and completely destroyed the nice romantic mood we had going! The worst thing is we didn’t even get an apology. We will never waste our money on this...
Read moreDo not bother looking anywhere else. This place is AMAZING! From the 2-person jetted tubs to the constant supply of snacks, you will not be disappointed. The only thing I felt was missing was fluffy white spa robes. I can't think of anything else that could have improved our stay. It's close to the best shops and wine-tasting facilities in the heart of Little Nashville. We have not stayed in the bed and breakfast in the main building. We've only stayed in the Shiloh building (did I mention you have to be 18 to stay in the cottages?) Kids are allowed in the main building. It is a little more pricey than the other places, but we easily saved the difference in food. The breakfast is to die for and the spread of snacks/desserts from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. is fit for a king. The staff is friendly and helpful, always greeting guests with a smile and more food. We did have one small issue with one of the day time desk clerks when making our most recent reservation, but the night clerk corrected it immediately when she arrived. My husband and I travel often and typically stay in beachfront penthouses on vacation. We love to be pampered when we are away. On the weekends we can't make it to the beach, this facility is our number one destination close to home. Oh! And you get a fresh loofah and glycerin soaps every day when they clean (it's the little things)....
Read moreI had a great time in Uncle Frank and Aunt Margaret's room. It was truly a relaxing and intimate environment. Uncle and Aunt's room was comfortable and clean - really clean. No dingy towels, bath cloths or bed sheets! Pristine white! If I could give 10 stars, I would. Why? The staff was amazing. As soon as I arrived, they were welcoming, warm, friendly and professional. They were attentive to my needs, making sure I knew which restaurants to go to depending on my food cravings, etc. I really appreciate them. I was treated as if I was part of their family.
I hired a Lyft ride from the Indianapolis airport to the Inn. No problem. I tried to get a Lyft ride and/or Uber ride back to the airport. Not surprisingly, no one was available. The receptionist was very worried that I wouldn't be able to get a ride back and began working on trying to help me. She did not have to do anything for me as that was not her responsibility. Her husband works at the inn and he has a very busy schedule. She told him, and in between his errands and daily demands, he drove me back to the airport. I tried to pay him - he refused. Warm and giving! Nashville is about helping others in need and being there for them. I was astounded and humbled by their actions. I know to rent a car from now on. This is home...
