We enjoyed our food and the beautiful view of the Mississippi River. The staff earn mixed reviews. We can recommend the she crab soup appetizer, and entrees: shrimp and grits, and the redfish menu crab. These are large and satisfying portions. $85.08 plus $16 tip. An inshore sport fisherman who enjoys redfish, I was eager to hear details about the meal. Our waiter Dillon was unable to tell me the source of the redfish or answer any questions about the preparation of the dish. I was hoping to get the fish prepared other than pan fried. We were excited about this restaurant as we were following the recommendation of our bed and breakfast host. Upon entering the restaurant we paused at the hostess station by the “wait to be seated sign.” A man seated at a dinner table near the bar called out loudly, “Come on in and choose a seat up there.“ He continued saying, “I’m the bar tender. It’s ok.” A female employee in the room we had been directed to gave us the stink eye. The staff in general were rather churlish and insular with the exception of a young man who eagerly assisted us with water for our table after we waited for a while following the indifferent treatment from the female employee. This young man was actually talking to us genially and answering our questions when he was abruptly dismissed by our waiter who finally showed up saying, “He doesn’t know anything.” There were two dining areas on 3/17/2021. Ask for seating with the best river view. We had driven all day through storms with lightning, rain, and tornado concerns. The view of the river was worth the drive.

The Magnolia Grill is a true culinary gem nestled in the heart of Natchez, MS. From the moment you step through the doors, you're greeted with Southern hospitality and an ambiance that perfectly complements the town's historic charm. The warm and inviting atmosphere sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. But it's the food that truly steals the show. The menu is a culinary masterpiece, offering a delightful fusion of Southern flavors and modern twists. Every dish is a work of art, thoughtfully crafted and bursting with deliciousness. The service here is exceptional, with attentive staff who go the extra mile to ensure your dining experience is nothing short of spectacular. They're knowledgeable about the menu and ready to offer recommendations or accommodate dietary preferences. Whether you're a local or just passing through Natchez, the Magnolia Grill is an absolute must-visit. It's a culinary journey that not only celebrates the region's rich culinary heritage but also leaves you craving more. Don't miss out on this culinary treasure! #MagnoliaGrillNatchez #SouthernCuisine #CulinaryDelight

Don't go to this place with a party over 6 because service suffers it seems. Smaller groups in the dinning area service is nice and pleasant. The food seemed good if it was hot. My experience with a large party (17) The food came out one at a time, everything was cold. When the food arrived we had to ask for boxes we had waited so long. 3 different sets of groups 3, 5, and 6 people all came after us, were seated, ate and left. Lovely place, the food tasted great when I got home. oh and we reserved about a few weeks ahead. They can only split the table up to 6 checks, never mentioned during reservation, ordering, or the boxing of our food until it was time to pay. This place would get one star but there was a lovely woman that met us on our way out and thanked us for coming and took group photos for us. Maybe it was an off day for the young man that served us.

It's a smaller, older building near the water. Didn't have to wait long to be seated, and they called us when our table was ready. We had a very good waiter, and the food was delicious and larger portioned than expected. Prices were fairly reasonable, and one could choose to split a plate or get a to go box. They had two areas to eat in, with one room being much smaller than the other small room. We dined in on 4/13/24, and it was a beautiful, spring day. The thermostat in our smaller room was SET on 68 degrees and there were several vents pouring cold air in this small space. We were freezing and our food was getting cold very quickly. We asked a young guy, if they could raise the temperature on the thermostat, and he told us he would have to ask the manager. After some time had passed with nothing changing, I went over to two different thermostats and tried to adjust it to a bit higher setting. A young, female employee began reprimanding me for messing with the thermostats. I explained that not only were the five people at our table freezing, but so were several others in the room. I also told her that we had already mentioned the problem to another employee, who was going to ask the manager, we had not received any response from anyone. She didn't care NOR showed any empathy or concern for the patrons in the room. She just continued to chastise me. We tipped our waiter for his good service, BUT we will NOT be returning to this place, mainly due to her rudeness rather than the freezing temperature. I don't believe the customer is always right, however, I do believe the customer is always the customer. Even if you can care less about your customers' comfort, you can try to make them believe that you care. She desperately needs some training on how to treat...

I ordered the pork poboy and the waitress accidentally brought the pork dinner. The waitress placed the plate down and leat too quickly for me to explain it was the wrong order. I asked a passing by waitress to ask if our waitress could check in with us. You would've thought that request was the biggest inconvenience EVER. Her reply was, "It will be a minute." Her tone was sharp and she cut me off. I patiently waited (6 mins) for our original waitress to come out from the back kitchen. I explained the issue, and she was nice enough to bring out the poboy but our party paid for it with passive-aggressive behavior. Our drinks were not refilled and all of the other tables were checked on EXCEPT ours. I really hated returning the food but it was not what I ordered. I don't even want to even imagine what was done to my food before it was brought out, after experiencing the ignoring treatment/punishment. When the bill came the waitress charged me for the wrong order and did not make the adjustment until I politely asked. Needless to say we will not return because there are other places that offer great service and treat a mistake like something that happens in the restaurant business, and NOT like a bigger deal than it is in reality. The pork was so cold when the poboy finally came out, it took away from how it might...
