Hampton Inn & Suites Natchez — Hotel in Natchez

I had the most horrible experience I have ever had at any hotel or resort. My family and I was in town from Colorado and Texas for my aunts funeral and I decide to stay at this hotel, since I am a Hilton Honors member. Firstly the hotel do not meet hilton standards at all. Our first night there my son saw a roach. The walls in the bathroom is peeling. There was fingernail polish or some other subtstance on the floor. The furniture was dusty and the matresses was dingy. We were already there, so I said what the heck lets get through these two nights.

On the second night the hotel manager came up and accused my family of making noise. She informed us that there was allegedly a noise complaint from someone in room 207 I was in bed when she came and so were my kids. So after she came up she called and then stated that she got a noise complaint from next door and downstairs which I knew was a lie, because my parents was booked in a room on one side and on the other side was my cousin and her husband from Texas. Anyways we passed words, she said that she was going to call the police on me and she did. So I left. There was no hotel rooms avaialble in Natchez due to a convention or something. Anyways I have never been so humilated in my life, lets not negate the fact that I had just burried my aunt earlier that day. The reason we were even there anyways. I plan to sue and hope no one else have to go through what my family and I went through...

Room was clean and comfortable. Great location. Across street from visitors center and you can do the hop on hop off to tour the town and homes.

However No desk clerk at desk when We arrived. Waited several minutes and when she arrived she apologized. Out of water at front desk. Clerk did not give us any instructions. We had to ask where elevator was and she never mention what time breakfast started. I had to ask. All she said was here is your key, hope you enjoy your stay and One of the keys did not work when we got to room. Door to room badly needs repainting, looked like it was being prepped for painting.

Room was freezing. On 66 degrees

No toilet paper holder in room. The piece that held toilet paper was missing

There was no mention of the hotel being renovated on website. Lots of trash at entrance probably from renovation but should have been swept up. It was better the next day.

Picked this hotel because I am an honors member and it had better reviews that the Grand down the road.

When I went back down to get my key reset I ask for change to get water out of machine and guess what. I tried three different bills and none would work in machine. This is all within 20 minutes after arriving. Desk Clerk was sweeping when I went back down.

It makes me sad to leave a bad review but this place gives Hilton a bad name. Stayed for a quick little overnight getaway. It looks like there has been little to no maintenance on the inside. Our room smelled horrible. The bathroom was dirty. The toilet was disgusting. There was no soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. none of the little things you expect when you visit a Hilton brand hotel. I called the front desk to tell them the toilet was filthy and there was no trash bag in the can. The front desk clerk apologized and said there was no housekeeping. She came and swiped at the toilet and put a bag in the trash can. I declined even taking a shower or brushing my teeth until I got back home the next morning. The tv and cable was a joke. I can say when we left the next morning breakfast smelled great but after what the room and hallway looked like I wasn’t about to sit and eat breakfast. Thanks anyway. Definitely do not recommend...
