These rooms are really old, furniture is worn and damaged, beds uncomfortable, showerhead disgusting. The photos online make it look 10x better than reality. It is not “Casino hotel” quality and the casino is down the road from the hotel. Upon check in, I asked for a room with a bluff view, she said “that’s an extra charge and it’s not even worth it because the trees block the view”. Stayed for 3 nights/4 days. Housekeeping never touched our room. When we arrived back to our room at the end of our second day, nothing had been touched. No beds made, no garbage taken out, no new towels (they only give you two towels for two people to begin with). I went to the front desk for more towels and asked the front desk associate if our rooms were supposed to be cleaned and refreshed, after I checked the room for any signs or messaging that you must request service. She said “Yes the room should have been serviced. They used to require you to request, but that stopped about a month ago”. Ok great, may I have fresh towels and toiletries? The next morning we needed an iron..no iron in the room. I called the front desk after getting out of the shower and she told me to come get the iron. I had to get dressed, go down, then returned to my room with an iron that didn’t work due to an almost severed cord. I called and asked them to please bring me up another one. The second iron also did not work. Hunted down housekeeping on my floor, she was very helpful and found another one for me. There was also no ironing board, so I did the best I could with a chair. This inconvenience did make us late for our plans that day. After being told our room should have been serviced, and assuming after my request that we would get service the next day, we arrived back to the hotel the third day to find it again had not been touched. Still dirty towels lying around, beds not made, garbage bags not removed, etc. I went to front desk again, there was a different associate than previous night. I asked why our room had not been touched since we’ve been here. He told me we have to request it. I explained the prior night’s situation and what I was told. He said she was wrong. I told him there are no signs in the room stating this. He said I should have been told the process upon check in. I was not. I was told the process differently the night prior, by the front desk. Every person we came in contact with at the front desk in person or by phone, was not polite. The housekeeping ladies were very polite when we would pass them each day (and I do not fault them for not cleaning, assuming they are told not to). Another inconsistency was the first night I grabbed a drink from the lobby, asked the front desk to put it on my room charge, she said Sure. The next night, did the same thing and she said No, you have to pay for it now. I told her they charged it to my room the prior night. She said they were not supposed to, and she made me pay right then. Training should be the same across the board, not told something different by each person you encounter. And if you are, the inconvenience should be on the hotel, not the guest to suffer the inconsistencies. Extremely disappointed with this entire experience, the unprofessionalism of everyone, the lack of care for the guests, and the quality of the rooms. These are life experiences, and you can’t get that time back. This isn’t a “major issue”, everyone survived, but it’s the little things that make great moments on your family vacations. We spend our hard earned money to have a nice experience, not an inconvenience. EDIT- this is our last night here, we go to leave for dinner reservations and the elevators on our 5th floor do not work. No power to them. We go to the nearest stairs, walk down 5 flights in heels, get to the bottom floor and it says DO NOT EXIT ALARM WILL SOUND. We go back up to the second and third floors to see if the elevator is working on those floors, we can’t get back into the halls. There is no choice but to go back down and open the alarm exit. No alarm sounded. THE...

Read moreGo somewhere else- it’s a little sketchy. |The A/C was ice cold, the bed wasn’t bad. The lady in the breakfast area our first few days was great. Each person we spoke to from housekeeping was lovely. Very kind & welcoming. |But-one of my party has health conditions so I called ahead to be sure we got a non smoking room & they told me the entire hotel was non smoking. This may true for cigarettes but the marijuana smell in the hall would knock you down! Didn’t matter - 9 am, 9 pm- there was 1 morning out 6 days we didn’t notice it. We heard several others comment the same thing. Not just our floor either. |Our ice machine never worked so I’d go to the next floor when we needed ice- step off the elevator- SAME. It was terrible, I was so thankful we didn’t bring our children. |I mentioned it to the lady at the desk but she just said “ok, thank you” we had a couple concerns while we were there- IF you could find someone at the desk, there was no resolution. |I came down for coffee & noticed a man, standing at the desk, yelling “hello, hello??” He got the same result we did. Nothing. It’s like this is a hotel running itself & it wasn’t a good thing. |Our last am, we went down for breakfast- different lady & a gentleman working. Eggs were WAY overcooked- Brown on the bottom- no breakfast meat of any sort. No gravy, no orange juice and none ever came out 1.5 hours before breakfast ended- he was too busy talking with guests. She was standing at the front desk talking. 2 hours later, I came down for a luggage cart. She’s still there talking. I can’t recommend Magnolia Bluff and we absolutely would not stay...
