When I'm anywhere in Mississippi I always try and find a good fried catfish spot. This place did not disappoint. The fish was perfectly seasoned and fried hard, just as I like it. I was kinda surprised they didn't have any fried orka on the menu but the onion rings definitely made up for that. Those onion rings are beyond delicious! Came back the 2nd day to try the ribs. It was around 3pm but I was told no ribs would be available til 5. ???? Ok...ordered the 1/2 chicken instead. Not good at all!!! The chicken was extremely dry and had absolutely no seasoning. Seem like it had been setting up a while. But the sweet potato casserole was really good. So on the way out of town decided to make one last stop here. Ordered the hamburger steak, onion rings and salad. My wife ordered the Maui burger with mushrooms. Both meals were on point! No complaints at all. Now there was a 2$ charge to substitute a side. Don't understand why that is. But 2 of the 3 meals were good so we definitely would come back if we're ever in the...

I ordered the half chicken and salad and my buddy got the boudin rolls and fish. Service was excellent from ordering at the counter to the speedy delivery of the food to the table. The boudin rolls were off the hook delicious!! My chicken was smoked perfectly and had really crispy chicken. Definitely a 10/10. My salad was HUGE! After a boudin roll and my chicken, I wasn't able to finish the salad, but it was good and the ranch dressing was great. My buddy hammered his fish and couldn't finish either.
Portion sizes here are big and well worth the $$!
I'll definitely stop in for another meal the next time I pass...

The brisket is not smoked very hard at all. It is very moist. Looks like they cook most of it wrapped after looking at the very light smoke ring.
Sausage was standard fare. They did give very good helping sizes. Good value for the money compared to a lot of Texas smoke houses I go to.
I got curly fries that were not fresh that was a bit of a letdown. They had a sweet potato casserole which is a fantastic idea side. Cuts through the smoke and meat flavors. Certainly throws a bone to people like my wife. Wish more smoke houses would offer it.
All in all it was...
