Maria's Diner 1203 S Hwy 69 Nederland, TX 77627 March 5, 2025 Continuing my search for good breakfast tacos in south county. I ordered 2 bacon, egg and cheese tacos for dining in. They were well plated with more cheese than any others I have tried, not that I like that much cheese on my breakfast tacos, but for those who do... The tacos were good approximately standard fare but lacked the grilled bacon flavor I prefer. (Please do not mistake the previous statement; I do NOT like the flavor of an uncleaned grill but I do like plenty of grilled bacon flavor; there is a difference.) The restaurant decor was standard quality for the area. It sported a well executed Mexican motif hanging in a spiral design over the entire dining room. So i went here today and the food was good the service was good up until i left. I am not sure if this place had a restroom or not but because i was not aware i decided to go out in the parking lot of this place and handle my business. I was approached by a gentleman who was standing around back and asked me if i had just eaten there and told me his wife just saw me and if i did it again or if he sees me he was going to call the law not knowing i work for the law. This was THE ABSOLUTE BEST Mexican food my family and I have had in a very long time. I didn't dine in, but my food was ready promptly and MADE PROPERLY (and I had several dinners all made differently) The food was steaming hot, and the ingredients were fresh. The girl working the counter was super sweet even though i ordered right before closing, she was very accommodating. She couldn't remember exactly what i ordered on top of my enchiladas in one meal so she had one meal of each ready when i showed for pick up. We are impressed and WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK! 10 out...
