Worst restaurant experience ever -Server had no hospitality skills -Never offered bread so we asked and a "manager" came to our table and we told her we had ordered lasagna and wondered if it came with our meal. She asked, "Do you want bread?" We replied, "Does it come with bread?" She then answered, "Do you want bread?" We told her we expected it as it was on the menu and our server never offered it, nor did we decline it. -Eventually the server returned and apologized he got distracted and that's why the bread was never served. -We saw our server fewer than three times the entire meal. -A different boy asked if we'd like more water. When we agreed he picked up the glass at the top of the glass placing his dirty fingers on the part of the glass a customer would typically drink from -Once our food was served (one plate was cold lasagna) he never checked to ask how the first few bites were -I stood up at the bar and hostess area trying to find someone to report the cold food to for about four minutes. I saw my server and another server standing in the back left corner of the restaurant and when one approached a nearby table I asked how I could get my food served hot. He got a "manager" who came to our table and asked what the problem was. She removed the lasagna and was gone a very long time. We paid the hostess and asked if there was a manager we could talk with about the below average/nearly non-existence of service. She said the manager was in the back and asked if she should alert her. That was redundant. We already said we wanted to talk with her. -We've eaten here for the past 15 years and this service was unexpected. -The food was below average too. -We...
Read moreSO disappointed in our visit to Cannovas this evening! My husband and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary as well as Father’s Day with my parents visiting from the Milwaukee area. We were a group of 6. I called a week in advance to request a 5:00 reservation. We arrived promptly on time to see a party of 5 without reservations seated right in front of us. When we checked in, we could see that all of the tables were full and none of them had food. The young host admitted that he had forgotten to check the reservation list and had given our table away. He said it would probably be an hour until one opened up. I explained that this would not work, as my older parents can not drive at night and needed to be on the road by 6:30 to make it back to Milwaukee before dark. He basically said there was nothing he could do. I asked to speak to a manager who then argued with me that our reservation wasn’t for another 10 minutes and then said “Opps, my watch is off” when I showed her that it was indeed already after 5:00. She checked with the kitchen on timing but admitted that there was no place to sit and that they were way behind, so even if we ordered at the bar, our food wouldn’t be ready in time for my parents’ departure due to all the other already-filled tables and orders. She was completely unhelpful and the restaurant totally ruined what was supposed to have been a very special night out for my family. I would have expected some type of compensation or gift certificate to use at a future date for the error; but nothing was offered. As a Neenah resident, I was disappointed and embarrassed by the situation, and we won’t be visiting...
Read moreIt was just terrible from the moment we were seated. Offered bread and oil. It never came. Waited 10 minutes for the waitress. She didn't know what a house wine was or is, a red flag. Plus, any Italian worth its salt has a house wine this place does not. Ordered Bruschetti and a large Ceaser salad, Took forever first, then Ceaser salad was absolutely the most unflavored salad from a bag chopped Romain Salad. The ceaser dressing was almost non-existent and was flavorless. Bruschetta had a balsamic glaze on it and was to the point of being burned. Just bad, I ordered Lasagna, a friend had Margherita pizza and a glass of wine. Wine was overly acidic and a low quality wine. Lasagna has a sauce so sweet it is almost live a sweet syrup taste to it and half of it was burned. Pizza was fair, but the crust is paper thin. Didn't eat the Lasagna, they didn't want to take it back, and the waitress wanted to charge me for it. Had to get the Owner or Manager, after my interaction with her I am convinced the problem here is an ownership in denial who will argue with customers when dissatisfied and didn't want to take the lasagna off the bill and didn't. Just added some B.S. coupon for 15 dollars off the meal. There's much wrong here. I really can't cover it all. It is just a place that is running off of past laurels and an older clientele that is loyal. Put this place anywhere else where there are real Italian resteraunts, and this place would close in 6 months. Pass it, buy. I mean, the lasagna and service at Olive Garden are better, and that's just sad. Leave this overpriced,...
