It was ok, but just ok. I think for the price you can get better value at other places. I put the quality lower than Panda Express (just as a reference of cafeteria style food, not as a direct comparison as that's not Filipino food), but you end up paying more somehow.
For instance, the bistek tagalog had a good taste, but was very very watery, and you got very few onions in the serving.
Other dishes had gummy meat like it had been sitting out way too long maybe?
The chicken bbq was decent, a lot of meat and the sauce was good.
The worst was the sisig. My wife asked for a small portion and she was assured it was a "side order". It took 20 minutes to make, was an entire styrofoam container full, was $25, and tasted like it was cooked eariler in the day somehow. I'm not sure how they spent 20 minutes making it but it still was not fresh. It wasn't even crispy, like they forgot to fry it? I don't understand. We had a few bites, took it home and fried it ourselves. It was good then, but I'm not going to pay $25 for food I have to go fry again at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've ignored this disrespect for too long from the guy behind the grill. The employees here say it's their manager and by their expression they don't enjoy working for him and just putting up with his demeanor.
My clothes aren't proper ON MY DAY OFF but I come every Saturday to enjoy a good meal after my Gym. He has skipped me in line on numerous occasions to get the properly dressed philippinos behind me. The portion size was dwindled compared to what is normally served, and nothing but a scoff when he sees me in line while he greets the other "Properly Dressed Philippinos" with warm hellos.
Their food is great, I've met the owner a couple times with warm greetings. That's why I've let a lot go from how he has ill treated me on the weekends I come here. I'm not hiding behind any review so you can email me directly if you want to address this concern but if this alienated way of treatment persist I will take it up with the HQ and the Human resource office in an email form to address...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my first time dining here and it certainly wonāt be my last. To start, the atmosphere is very relaxed, the employees were all helpful and the food for me was tasty, portioned perfectly and reminded me of the many Filipino restaurants back home in Hawaii, where Iām from. I ordered their 2 choice combo and ended up getting more items because their food looked and smelled wonderful. Their combo comes with 2 scoops of rice, plus any two items on their buffet. I got their mongo beans, pinakbet, pork adobo and the gentleman behind the counter was kind enough to have me try their sinigang. Everything was amazing. I loved how they had Japanese pumpkin in their pinakbet, that their pork adobo was so tender and flavorful and their mongo beans that reminded me of my childhood, was the highlight of the meal. This is a place I decided to try without any prior knowledge, research or suggestions and Iām so glad I found them. Canāt...
