This place absolutely took me by surprise and I wasn't aware about this place for the last three years. Since I love seafood, my friend took me to this place. He mentioned that all these dishes are authentic Mexican seafood dishes. We ordered one appetizer and one main course dish. The appetizer was called "Camarones Zarandeados" which were large butterfly grilled shrimp. The seasoning on the shrimp itself was fabulous that you can eat the shrimps on their own. We got the medium size one which had twelve pieces of shrimp. The shrimp comes with two types of sauce, a green sauce and a sauce that looks like chipotle mayo but is actually super spicy because they use habanero for the sauce. Overall this dish was outstanding. Moving on to our main course we ordered a dish called "Molcajete" which translates to hot volcanic stone dish. We got a seafood version, which had grilled shrimps, cooked shrimps, deep fried octopus and fried fish along with grilled cactus leaves, and grilled bacon wrapped jalapenos. The dish comes with a plate of beans, steamed vegetables rice and fresh corn and flour tortillas. The dish is represented in the form of a giant sizzling mortar with all the delicious content within it. The dish is super hot so be careful while moving your hands around the dish. This dish was also very delicious but the lower part is super hot, so also be careful not to burn your tongue. The only thing I noticed was the fried fish they used was probably tilapia which is not my favorite fish. But the octopus was one of the best octopus I have tasted. It was cooked to perfection. You can make your own version of seafood tacos using the fresh and hot tortillas. Overall it was a fabulous experience. The ambience is also really cool and if you are lucky you might catch some live bands and performances at the restaurant. The place does get crowded, so if you plan to go during the later part of the day, then expect some waiting time or try to...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE! I was very excited to try this place since everyone brags so much about how good it is. I was here visiting from Arizona and had the worse experience ever. We ordered and the food was burnt to the point we couldn’t eat it. We told the waitress and handled the problem well, she was very nice. We gave the food back and were asked what we wanted to order instead of that burnt food, we ordered tacos. We were there 2 hours, there was only four of us!!!!! Finally we gave up and told the waitress just to bring the check we didn’t want the tacos ordered to replace the streak campesino. We were brought the check and PAID for the food we did NOT eat because it was so burnt!!!!!!! Finally the tacos came after paying the full bill and was brought another bill for the tacos that we had canceled. The waitress told us she would call the manager because I was not going to pay a second time for food that I had already canceled and did not eat or touch. Along came the manager who has the worst attitude and told us that next time not to eat the food! If the food was edible I would have ate it but there was no way to eat it, it was burnt!! Her attitude and the way she treated us was the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life!!!!! There is no way that woman has that position of manager with that attitude and no costumer service. So bottom line we paid for the food we did not eat and was not offered an apology or anything!!!!! We paid over $120 and didn’t eat!!!!! To who ever the owner is of this place you need to make sure your managers take care of situations like these and this so called manager needs to be fired ASAP I have never paid for food that I did NOT eat and still brought a second check for food that we did not eat! That manager is crazy she’s not ok in the head. I did not pay the second check obviously and to be honest I should of never paid the first...
